Are Elona Treasures holiday only? I think not.

Yes, I'm very sorry. With the holidays, I'm out of touch with the others on the team, so all I can provide is theory. However, here is what I wrote earlier, based on what research I could do of internal documents:

I have checked all references to the Treasure Chests that I can find, and none indicate a "pull date." So it's very possible that they are permanent additions. Reading the Update Notes of December 20th, they say just this, "Additional treasure chests are available throughout the continent of Elona."

I have sent an email to clarify. As I read it, the chests are not seasonal after all, and the chests will remain in the game. Today is Christmas Day and I don't know for sure who is picking up email during the holiday period. My instinct now is to say they're here for good, based on all the references I can gather, but I'll do my best to confirm that with offical word from one of the designers involved with the chests as soon as possible. I apologize for any confusion!

This holiday has been hard and needless to say not been able to really take part in the winterfest event, this is great news, and hope becomes a permanent add on in C4 and possible, C1-C2 but thankful for keeping them in elona is content enough for me.

Rule of thumb: If you enjoy something, or it helps you play better, or makes you more difficult to defeat, it will be nerfed soon enough. Enjoy things today, they just might be gone tommorrow.

That would be so awesome if they could stay, I have found myself rushing through the game myself just so as to not miss out on the chests, the addition of the chests is one of the nicest gifts anet has given us. Let us hope they are here to stay.

The treasures are a nice add-on if they stay after the wintersday event and an enjoyable wintersday gift if they don't. If they don't stay we won't be blaming you as you've stated that you cannot be 100% sure of this and that's understandable. I somewhere heard that if the try to mind-read a game developer your own mind gets fried with the chaos energy!

This is good to know since i got most of the treasure with my tank but not with rest of my characters yet.

The chests should stay indeed. All the better for newbies to get some equipment and gold. Providing they do their homework on the game.

i hope this means ruby and sapphire prices will drop just a tad
