How bout if im using a Axe
-.-
How answering the question? Sword Mastery.
Doug the Head
I would max out sword and then put the unused into strength.
"Even if a Warrior does not utilize any Strength skills, it's recommended that any spare points be placed into Strength, if only for the purpose of dealing a little more damage when using attack skills." -Guildwiki
I don't know which one does more damage over the other. But higher swordsmanship means more damage and crit's.

Sword Mastery by a longshot. Increased Sword Mastery will add extra power to EVERY attack, AND increase critical hit chance, whereas Strength only adds damage when you use attack skills.

Strength is terrible.

Use Counterattack instead...
Strength also has Warrior's Endurance, Sprint, Flail, a lot of other nice skills. Strength is useful... The side effect of Strength however is quite useless.

You shouldn't even be using Counterattack or Power attack, use a Sword attack skill.

swordsmanship. strength is about the worst primary attribute in the game, but i guess thats an opinion.

Strength SKILLS are awesome, the attribute itself though makes me a sad panda.
I went to Axe though after a while in Elona, Sword really disappointed me. After getting Dragon Slash I am contemplating going back to sword for a while.

Swordsmanship didn't really get any great skills, which makes me sad.

I got a great idea, Echo Hundred Blades.
But yea after spamming Sever and Gash I began to think "Axes look much more intimidating." I still need to cap Evicerate, but I like spamming Cleave.

Swordsmanship definitely doesn't suck. Axe might have a better spike and AoE capability, but a sword build with Dragon Slash and a few other high-adrenaline skills with +35-40 damage can put out a high, steady DPS. Strength is also fairly decent with this build because once you get your cycle going, almost all of your attacks will be attack skills. I'd take axe in PvP and sword in PvE.
[skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Galrath SLash[/skill][skill]Silverwing Slash[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill][skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] (should prolly pick either Galrath or Silverwing)
Add a furious weapon and you can pretty much chain these attacks infinitely.

Heh, I recognise that build Muk
If you take Muk's build, drop either Silverwing or Galrath for Enraging Charge.
