Will GW ever be given 64 bit support?

Hi, this may sound like an odd question, but with the lengthy time 64-bit platforms have been available now, I were wondering if GW would ever be given support for 64 bit which would allow improved visuals and faster frame rates. From what I understand, games that currently operate under 64 bit do so by patching the 32 bit version, so 32 bit users would still be able to play the game, 64 bit users would just get nicer visuals. Im not sure if this can be done on an online game, but it would be nice if it could happen.

i want that to be done i run on 32 bit but now need to go by a 64 bit card so its annoying

I don't think they'll ever do that.

I have no idea where you got the impression that it will run and look better if it were converted to 64bit
There will be no difference whatsoever, now when the first games supporting direct x 10 come out, then we all will see the difference.
But to be quite honest, I'll let this thread run for a bit longer to see if anyone else has that impression and what their thoughts are.

64-bit support has nothing to do with speed. All 64-bit support does is add addressing for higher memory ranges, and changes the size of the standard integer to 64-bit width. There is some more technical stuff going on under the hood, but really 64-bit won't become seriously useful until we are all regularly using over 4GB of RAM. 64-bit is really a buzz word in hardware right now, but it's basically a meaningless thing to 90% of PC users. That small percentage with >= 4GB of RAM can actually take advantage of 64-bit platforms, but that's about it.
For that matter, IEEE standard floats on modern CPU's are actually 80-bits wide, and have been for years. CPU's have been able to cope with data larger than 32 or 64 bit width for quite a while. It's just recently that CPU's have been give the ability to address memory outside of the 32-bit range (4GB exactly).

Well, in far cry 32>64 theres a huge visual improvment with no loss on frame quality. It was just a thought I had earlier while installing 64 bit vista beta whether or not there would be any benefit from adding 64 bit support. (driver installation was a pain so I reverted back to XP)

well I've been running on a x64 OS for over a year now, but what does the processor has to do with way better graphics? Thats my gpu's job, not my cpu's.
I can see the game would run a lot more smoothy, but I doubt it will increase my graphics since they allready are maxed out.
