The international district of this place is filled with Mo/W. You don't see any other professions here. All of them go out toward Arkjok Ward. Looks like the new AI and the "anti-bot" code didn't stop them at all.

Termites are actually pretty easy to farm, since they use Frenzy >.<

Well, there's 3 groups of "Boarillas" outside Yohlon Haven that's not limited to the AoE AI. And you can indeed pull all 3 groups together. I don't think this is any slower than Ice Imp farm and I do believe it can be done by bot.

There are termites there. I took my monk out there to farm sunspear points because I couldn't access certain quests without it. Plus I have gotten a few good drops along the way.

Its the 3 groups of paragons.

Because they are not melee they do not flee when they get low on health and kill themselves on SoJ. It is right beside a zoning point into another area. Respawns are very quick and the run might take you 4 minutes.

They drop a lot of minor runes and materials. Most items sell for 30-40g.

It is when you hit minor war and vigors all the time. Since very few people are farming that area the drops diminish much slower compared to other areas that are over farmed. Over farmed areas I notice the diminish on the 2-3rd run.

New areas it takes about 10 runs or so.

since most bots you see there are Mo/W, i think theyre only going for the Paragon groups. If you do that about 10 hours a day it might bring in a pretty penny, but like casual farmers like me it isnt really worth it...
btw, i farm with a monk also. i dont have an ele

They farmt his spot becuase each monsters can drop a pile of ne where from 40-80 and they drop Gold items quite frequenly. These gold items almost always have either a perfect mod (excluding sundering) or a 15^50 inscription.

I can't say they have good drops, but hey, trolls don't have them too and people farmed them to death.

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn't noticed that area, and while I'm pretty sure our good Support folks have, I'll send along the info to them!

You're assuming that the anti-botting code somehow relates to individual areas? And that if an area is more visited than another, the drops are fewer? I do not believe you are correct in that theory. Each generation (instance) of a map is unique, and I have never heard that we monitor the number of instances and reduce the drops. What we do do is reduce the drops if a player goes into an area over and over again in a short period of time, for that directly impacts professional farmers and bot users. Which is a good thing! But to theorize that "This area is popular, so there are fewer things to be gained there, or there are lower-quality items dropped" is, in my instinct, entirely incorrect. I will verify this when I get back to the office next week, just to be 100% certain.

not only that Bots are not due to be gone, but the new "hard to farm" AI may push some casual players to ebeay gold more often.

It not uncommon to see bots in prophecies because you only need to buy it and the price has dropped now with the new releases. It is very uncommon to see bots in factions and NF because they are expansions and you need every other chapter before it to get the skills needed.

There is a higher risk of losing money when they buy the expansions because if they get banned they have to go buy them all over again.

This is a nice farming spot for the gold piles. They kill themselves quickly and are right beside a zone point.

QFT thats the main problem with dealing with the botters a-net completely buggers it up for those people who may only say farm for a couple of hours a week just to get enough money to actually be able to buy something then think "well screw this" and get the credit card out instead.

There's a very effective way to stop bots.

REMOVE the auto item select (aka ';'). Bots rely heavily on this 'smart' function to pick up all the drops.

alternatively...

Make you able to drop items in town, so players can actively mess up the bot's program

I usually go there because its the closest place to Modti Darkflower and I've been fishing for Modti's green. Plus the chests are in predictable places and the enemies aren't overwhelming. Well, you just have to make sure not to aggro mobs passing by, which is almost impossible for me b/c I'm a MM and my minions aggro anything that moves. Also, I usually get piles and piles of gold. About 2k per run.

I think this would be a great idea. But i think item drops would need to become more visible, since, some items are hard enough to click on as is.

QFT. I don't bot, discovered a good farming build and have been farming yohlon haven on a casual basis a few weeks....Just got my first ever set of 15k armour. They need to find other ways of stopping bots that don't harm real players just trying to get some extra cash.

The beetles in Arkjok Ward were never profitable for a casual farmer... only bot programs. Gold drops are ~50 each, and rare/purple items aren't remotely near max damage.

Since when were monks able to farm IDS? Especially Mo/W... Avicara Brave use Savage Slash and when there's about 50 of them right in the Mineral Springs entrance... yea... Bonetti's will not save you

*lol* Yeah. I usually have to press ALT and do a 360 spin to make sure I got everything. The way loot looks from a distance is pretty similar to how those traps that blind you look from far away.

They're not farming, they're all simply taking part in the 2006 "Run Into The Tascas Demise Sign Competition"
