Ok, I don't know if this has been proposed yet; all I could find when I searched were threads about making Nightfall armors without insignia slots (inherent stats instead, just like in Tyria and Cantha).
So here's what I'd like to see: Make the exotic and remote armor crafters in Tyria and Cantha provide an option when you buy armor from them. Make it so you can buy 15K armor pieces that have the default stats on them, but also give the option to buy the 15K armor with no stats, and an insignia slot instead. Of course, the player would have to own both Nightfall and whichever other campaign he/she is trying to buy the 15K armor from. They did this upgrade for the FoW armor crafter, why shouldn't they do it for the Tyrian and Canthan ones too?
It would make sense. These armor crafters are famous for their extra fine works, hence the extra price for a better looking skin. Wouldn't it also make sense that these specific crafters have gotten so good at their trade that they either:
a) figured out how to craft armor with insignia slots all on their own, which seems more likely for the dwarves at Granite Citadel and Marhan's Grotto.
-or-
b) have been learning new techniques to craft their armor (like crafting it with insignia slots) over the many years they've been doing it by traveling and training under foreign masters, which seems more likely for the Luxon, Kurzick, and Canthan 15K armor crafters.
I bring this up because the special effect items, like bloodstained boots, stonefist gauntlets, and the lieutenant's helm aren't available in 15K form unless you buy them for your Nightfall armor skins. My favorite armor for my Necromancer happens to be 15K Cultist and I can't complete the set if I want to walk around in bloodstained boots. It's frustrating.
/sign this if you agree. Maybe A-net will notice.
Tyrian + Canthan 15K w/ Insignia slots if you own Nightfall

I think the insignia update should have been universal, not just for Elonian-crafted armors.

Even if they don't it's totally bogus that players with previous FoW don't get the upgrade.
I agree anyway, should honor those loyal enough to buy every game, if you own nightfall, prophecies, and factions they should let you wear whatever set you want with whatever bonuses you want. Let's face it, the nightfall armor for the most part sucks very big. You'd have to pry my kurzick from my cold dead hands.

It's a nice idea but I don't think it's going to happen on the fact they didn't make tyrian crafters become Factions style when factions came out. I disagree with ANet not periodically upgrading the older campaigns with little things, but that's the way they are going to do it for now.
BTW, I slightly prefer Factions style of weapon and armor crafters to nightfall.

Yeah, it's just too off in NF. Necros didn't really get anything worth jumping up and down about. Less you wanna be covered in giant butterflies. Warrior's too. Everyone is obsessed with primeval but I don't see why. It's like a scrawny Halo juggernaut. Ancient is alright.
