PvE R/P GFTE Barrager
AscalonWarrior
I started to use this build yesterday and it seems to work great
Attributes
Marksmanship 12 (8+1+3)
Expertise 10 (8+2)
Wilderness Survival 10 (9+1)
Command 11
Skills
[skill]barrage[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill][skill]"find their weakness!"[/skill][skill]Anthem of envy[/skill][skill]power shot[/skill][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]troll unguent[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
The thing is to spam Barrage, "GFTE!", Find Their Weakness!" combo all the time, and Anthem of Envy always when it is possible. Does some nice damage
Have fun and good luck!

I run a build thats alot like this. In my experience, FTW doesnt add enough utility to be worth 10 energy and a skill slot, because most players/hench wil be attacking the same target and thus applying one deepwound for 10 energy. And I would switch out Power Shot for Screaming shot. Also, your attributes are divided a bit strange, you really dont need to put points in WS just for Troll, and 10 Expertise is essentially the same as 9.
11+2 Marks
10+1+2 Expertise
10 Command
More damage and spammability also, 13 expertise will make barrage cost 2 energy. Do stick to what you like best, though.

I can see using use of GFTE with Barrage, but there really is no reason that Power Shot should ever be used, sad to say. I generally don't say things like this, but Power Shot is just a bad skill to take in any build. Take either Penetrating Shot or Crossfire. Also, I would say that it's never a good idea to run Barrage with less than 16 marks. Bumping it from 12 to 16 is like getting a free stackable buff that gives all your arrows +5 damage. You are likely better off dropping all WS and Troll Unguent for either Whirling Defenses or Favorable Winds. Having damage reduction is a lot more useful in groups than a self heal with a 3 second cast. Favorable Winds is also a strong choice to any barrage build since it allows the use of a Flatbow to maximize DPS. The idea here looks like it could be good in a big party with other damage dealers, but I think a few tweaks could really improve it's implementation.

maybe throw in Keen arrow instead of crossfire/powershot, that is, if ur using GFTE=?.
Bow Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for +5...13 damage. If you land a critical hit, you deal an additional +5...17 damage. (5e)
1.barrage
2.keen arrow
3.dis shot/salvage shot
4.GFTE
5.Anthem of envy
6.whirl def
7.fav winds
8.rez signet
16marks
9com
10exp
could work ?

I think that looks like a good way to run the build.

Has anyone used the Disrupting Accuracy Skill?
It's Marksmanship and the use of GFTE may help increase the chance of interruption. I'm just not sure how often you will critical to make it worth it.
Preparation. For 24 seconds, whenever your arrows critical, they also interrupt your target.

DOH! oops maybe that would work better in a quick shot build.

I don't know if this is widely known, but it seems GftE works just like splinter weapon with barrage. That is, the increased critical chance only works on one of the arrows. You can test this with a candy cane weapon and 0 marksmanship to minimize (but not totally eliminate) the chance of natural criticals, barrage the adjacent/nearby/in the area target set and max command. You'll be getting -6s on all attacks except for criticals which show up as -9, which will only show on one of the targets after activating GftE. (You might see more than one -9 but it's rarer than 5% and is due to natural critical chance) And assuming neither you nor the target move, it will always be the same target that gets -9. No screenshot will prove it so someone either needs a video or you have to try it yourself. Same holds true for dervish scythe attacks against adjacent targets by the way.
Of course, there is still the benefit that GftE charges fast with barrage, and does up the critical on one of your arrows as well as the attacks of the rest of your team.

While I've never personally tested it, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. From my experience a single barrage works like having multiple attacks at once. This is why skills like Vigorous Spirit, Live Vicariously, Order of Pain, Spiteful Spirit, etc. trigger on each arrow of a single barrage. This also explains why skills that activate on the next attack only trigger for one arrow of Barrage, such as skills like Splinter Weapon.

hmm,, I tried the build I posted before, and cant say I liked it,,,,, If u want to use barrage, then
16 marks
rest in exp 13

1.flail
2.Barrage
3.crossfire/or vaeve
4.dis shot
5.whirl def
6.dodge
7.fav winds
8.rez signet
works better, atleast for me.. the 33% atk speed with fav winds, is nice.

I agree. 9 is all what you need in expertise. 10 points in WS just for Troll is way too much in my mind - you could spend those points in Marksmanship and go with 15 or 16.
killerareso
well i use that same build for tombs for a barrager/pet build
my skills:
16 Mark
9 exp
rest in wild i think
1. Barrage
2. Determined shot
3. Distraction shot
4. GFTE
5. heal skill/spirit
6. Charm animal
7. Confort animal
8. res

I work a different build:
1) Barrage {E}
2) Sundering shot
3) Favorable winds
4) Savage Shot
5) Troll Ungent
6) Anthem of envy
7) "Go For The Eyes"
8) Signet of Return
Expertise:10
wilderness survival:6
Marksmanship:15
Command:8
I basically spam barrage and sundering with a zealous bow and get energy bac very fast. Ill also spam the 2 paragon skills as much as i can. Ill set down Favorable Winds each time it ends for the bonus damage. All in All a very solid build.

Is Throw Dirt out of favor for Barrage builds (it's on the Wiki B/P page)?
Sir Mad
No, Throw Dirt is a nice skill, and many B/P I party with when I go to the tombs bring it. The B/P team build on guildwiki is not bad but in my mind it's not the most effective build you can have (especially for the "utility" slots - at least the last time I checked it).
