Suggestion: Opening of a Tyria Elite Mission in Orr?
dacing_emu
I know Anet has pretty much moved on from Prophecies, and that there aren't going to be many (if any) additions to it, but I think it would be cool to have an elite mission added to Tyria. Orr seems like the perfect place, too. Just a suggestion. :]

/signed although Tyria has titan quests and the alternate underworld Canthra and Elona have there challenging and replayable elite missions. This could also go back to the history of orr and what the gods did there. If anything final should be added to tyria it should be this.

Tyria's elite area is Sorrow's Furnace. There's no reason or way Anet would waste resources adding even more content to Tyria. You're also asking for the elite mission to take place in an underwater location. Orr was sunk by the Lich and scepter, afaik.

First off,I already sugested this a long time ago,
second, no, not all of orr was sunk underwater, there are still some island in the peninsula of orr, read the manuel, it says that

I think this would be really really cool. Orr has always been very intriguing to me, and it would be interesting to go back to it.
However, I too find it unlikely that this would happen. But hey! What else are they gonna do when all the chapters have been released? (Probably lots, but hey)

Tyria has Sorrow's Furnace and Tomb of the Primeval Kings; I don't think they need another "elite" type area. Also I'm pretty sure the devs said we will never go to Orr.

They won't do it. simple as that

They woln't do it? it is as simple as no explaination at all?
They probably woln't do it because adding new content to previous chapters isn't as productive as adding new content to new chapters which they are producing back to back, who do you think is going to have the time to work on previous chapter content when they have half their team working on one chapter wile the upcoming one is being released and adjusted?
Without a reason a statement isn't valid, I hate that nonsensical BS, and if your not working for or with Anet your not really in a possition to assume what they will or woln't do, it is as simple as that.
Beside the point, I think Orr is a good location for a sea based chapter which explores over the sunken remains of Orr and the outlying lands of exsisting chapters along the sea, as a sunken city it would have alot to offer to a sailing chapter which involves the sea.
As for adding stuff to Tyria, I doubt they will produce more content for previous chapters, but that doesn't exactly mean that the continent of Tyria is finished. Hopefully future chapters or expansions to previous chapters will offer content related to Tyria as well as other previous continents, and weave the world together into a whole instead seperated lands.

New content is always good.
Even though elite missions are absolutely of no interest to me as they just render half the professions useless.

I can only see it work out in 4 or 5 if they somehow find a way to breath underwater.
