Guild Wars Gift Cards

This is not an idea thread.


In my local Gamestop, I was walking around and found a bunch of small, cassette style little plastic boxes labeled "Guild Wars Gift Card". But it only cost 2$ (U.S). I asked the guy what they were for, and he didn't know. I'm guessing maybe an online style gift card for making purchases for expansions in the online store. Which is actually something people have been asking about.


Can anyone tell me if you've seen these before, and what do they do?

They're not actually gift cards, they're gift card holders. Same thing happened to me when I saw them--I got all excited and thought they were something new.

So they hold the gift cards...?
Then, where are the gift cards?

Buy one! Who cares about putting a gift card in, just have it enjoy and put on your mantle. lol

its just something to but a gift card in. exp borders uses envelopes to put there cards in, so this new gw item is "like" a envelope. get it now?

I'm an unremitting collector of all things Guild Wars, and keeper of the Unofficial Shrine of Guild Wars (you should see my office!) so I'm going to buy one for sure.

guild wars collectables? looking forward to the guild wars figurines then, especially my female warrior in 1.5k kurzick armour

I did see those little giftcard holders at EB, and well they're nifty, but I think the plain card does just fine as a gift and the extra money just for a little holder.... meh. But speaking of collectibles ... it would be quite amazing if those skill pins would be made available to the public somehow. Through NCsoft's official store maybe?
