Does anyone have any suggestions on why my download rate rarely goes above 30kbs? It fluctuates between this and 8kbs and downloading takes quite awhile. I have the same problem with the Blizzard Downloader also.
Is this a problem with my router and is it easy fixed?
I have looked and looked and they are maked as exceptions from my firewall and i cant see any other restrictions...........

I doubt if there is anything wrong anywhere other thant he fact that your link to the "download" area could be quite "jumpy" You can always check with your ISP to see if there are any limitaions as to your DL speed...but sounds as if you are expecting it to be higher so you probably have DSL or Cable...so chances are its just a "lot of jumps" from you to the originating files.
back in the old days you could reduce your MTU size but that's really a moot point now..so i would say "grin and bare it" just remember after your initial download you shouldn't have anything near as large from GW again.

Well our broadband does seem to be a little bit......periodic......with its speeds. Im probably just being paranoid but it only seemed to start when we went wireless..............bring back cables thats what i say
