Changing Servers?

Ok, here's my dilemma. I've been playing now for a few months and I've finally developed a character that's capable of exploring FOW and UW without dying within 2 seconds. (In a large party of course, still haven't learned to survive with 4 or less in group)

I've been into the fissure of woe once or twice with PUG groups and I would really love to go more. The only problem is that I'm on the American servers and it seems that America never has favor any more except for a few hours around 11pm - 2am EST. I can't stay up that late most evenings and would love to be able to go into fow when I usually play which is 8-9pm.

I found some other threads here with others complaining about the same issue. The answers given were mainly that the poster is just playing in a bad time zone. Well, 8-9pm EST is about 2-3am in Europe, right? Do Europeans stay up all night to play this game!

Ok, I'm done venting. Now to the real purpose of this post. Most of my real life friends have told me that I should switch to the European Servers if I intend to spend much time in FOW/UW. I really don't want to do this. I'm an American and so I feel that I should just stay on my own server.

I'd like to know what some of the experienced players here think. 2 questions...

1. Have you ever switched servers for this reason?
2. Is the American favor drought temporary? Has Europe always hogged the favor, or is the game just in a "European cycle" that will eventually swing back to America?

1. Yes I've switched from Europe to America untill I got stuck in America.
2. Well I don't know what the future holds for the Americans, but for as far as I can see Europe will keep having it for a long time.

I've switched back and forth but not for that reason. Europe has held favour for quite a while now, no idea if it will swing back.

I haven't done FoW or UW for that reason, it's just too late, i'm 1 hour ahead of you and it still sucks! If I was still in college, a-ok, I can sleep in and miss a class or two, but now I work, no frekin way. The favor system needs a change.

I switched to European servers recently because they always have Favor when I'm online and I can't stay up until 2AM everyday just to UW/FoW.

Europe didn't always have Favor. Back in the day America and Europe would basically play Tug-O-War with it. Nowadays America just flat out sucks at HoH though. Being that it was my first server switch, if America ever decides to win every once in awhile, I can easily switch back.

And yes, Stemnin is definitely right, the Favor system needs a change, it makes no sense to PvP for access to something in PvE!
