Yet another Lag problem

Hello folks, welll I read the sticky and defragged my .dat was'nt that bad to start only 10 frags per seg., but I got it down too 1 per seg. Yet stil the lag is driving me insane, seems worst zoning into towns. Oh yeah did I mention I just installed Nightfall, well I just installed my Key, so I cant really see why the sudden increase in lag(had allready tried out NF in preview, and trial).
For instance, zoning into Kamadan took just over 15 minutes last night(no exageration timed with a stopwatch) !!!! Even after waiting that long I couldnt even look around, the lag is too bad, I have to go to a district with no one in it just too be able to do what I needed. I avoid Kamadan at all costs now, and that sucks.
The missions are horrible too, they zone you into battle in a few of them and I sit and wait n wait, when I finally get in the battle is ussually over, this is SIK lag, Prophecies had nothing of the sort. Even the Cut scenes Lag, I dont think Ive seen one of them as they are meant too be watched because it lags so hard, hte sound seems to start twice, real wierd stuff ???? Any ideas ?
I want to try the -image thing, but I have a modified .exe all ready in that it signs me in, and I really like that feature, so can I just add the -image tag on to the end right now me .exe looks like this....

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -perf -password=my password goes here

... so if I just add -image to the end will tha accomplish what I am after ?
Thanks for anyones ideas, I'm mystified as to the bad lag, and want to cure it before I start getting to some of the more intense missions, 'casue as it is now I'm not too looking forward too them.

-image loads all the areas and weapons and characters stc. (I think)

So what it does is make every time you load into a new place, go to 100% instantly.

I don't believe it has anything to do with lag after the 1st or 2nd day NF was loaded on your comp.

-_- but I'm sure somebody will prove me wrong.

ive been having similar problems.
I've done the defrag as well.
I bypass the system reqs.
My problem is a little weirder. I played NF with no lag the day I got it (xmas) and I go vacation and the day I get back (Friday) there is a crap load of lag.
??!?

I meet alll the specs and then some, so I dont think its that I run games that have a lot higher specs, could use a new video card but thats on the books(Geforce 4 with 128 Vram). I have a 2 gig proccesor 512 ram, 20 free gigs on 80 gig HD, I'd a mentioned the specs if I thought that might have been the problem, but seen as my computer easily meets the reqs, I think it should run the game the same as it did for the other game in the series.
Like the poster before me I experience periods of relative, to no lag, it is not constant, thats the thing that does not make sense, its not like its a constant bottleneck. I mean 15 minutes to load a town Ive been to a hundered times, and usually Im in within minutes, maybe a min or two on a busy night, but 15 minutes !!!

Connection issue maybe? Also, I always go to the last district in most large towns. As being on dial up, the populated districts usually take a minute two two to load.

I dunno about others, but if a town takes more than 5-10 seconds to load, I start to wonder what is on the other side.
