Does anyone know what happens if you buy the Game of the Year upgrade from the guild wars store and you have the Collectors edition? I have the CE and would like to pay the 5 bucks to get the special items but everything I read says you can upgrade the standard edition to Game of the Year. I dont want to lose my CE stuff by doing it. Any thoughts?

If you purchase the game of the year upgrade it adds the items you recieve with it and you do not loose your CE extras.

Is this upgrade for PvP only?

Nope, you can get the bonus item it provides on both PvP and PvE character's.
