Alliance Elite missions --- ideas

So far many of us are addicted to the elite missions Its not that we want the rewards at the end(well i admit i want them a bit :P ) but mostly we enjoy to see perfect cooperation of a human party against a powerfull enemy army
So why not tie the bonds especially to the members of an alliance?

Well the idea is simple
As you all know the 3 continents are connected by a ship!
So it would be perfect to create another area like the Temple of balthazar called "Alliance Harbor" where each alliance has its personall harbor where they could build a ship for expedition...
Each ship needs materials(up to Anet the amount)+time to build (time to build up to Anet) and when its ready the alliance could launch 3-4 expeditions of 12 people beetween a 24hour scedule to a random area (Corsair lair etc). Same logic as Urgoz/ Deep but this will tie the team play and the Online Timming of many Alliance players

Any suggestions/opinions/feedback more than welcome
Lets evolve

1) Too many smiles
2) WoW grind-to-play concepts aren't welcome here

The idea is great by the way. Simple and cool by me.
1)Team play and resource wasting could help the economy and tie the PVE bonds, don't forget that the PVE policy in GW is just farming(thats the main reason many people hate PVE)! Why not give them a serious cause...
2)I want to believe that the true reason of this forum is to let players state what they like most to see.Believe it or not all online games are around the same concept.

P.S: I personally hate elonian elite missions concept, i like a bit Sorrows Furnance in Tyria and i am a Fun of Canthas Elite missions!

I agree that GW need to do something more to give a common purpose to players, than faction. I find ideas of gathering resources for creating something in common, good idea. But is not so simple. In your case [Fountoukis] the alliance will have 1000 members max. Which will be the 4*12 = 48 members that will go to expendition, when all 1000 members has contribute? It will be too unfair for the rest.

However they could make such missions, where instead of paying gold to play, to pay resources that can not be found in NPCs Traders, but they have to win them in PvP games. In this way they can combine PvE and PvP, which as far as I know till now, they are two different things. F.e. Alliance members to create 3 teams of 4 members, and play something like ABs, against other Alliances. The winners to get resources, thus to be able to go to such places. I think its better.

As far as it concern [Antheus] answers, 1) yea too many smilies :P, 2) I dont know WoW, or many other online games - me and many more players. Still I have hear (not seen) that in Lineage, there is somehow a system of resource gathering. I believe that any ideas of other games, that could be combined in the style of GW gameplay, could be good (or we have to buy the other games, in order to see some new ideas-that will never be implemented in GW if they are not welcomed?) - not forget its a game. Resource gathering btw is a common thing in many games, not only WoW that u say.

Now for [Trophy Hunter], 1) With what you say, I had the idea, of hierarchical playing PvE. Do PvE in some places to gather resources, thus to can do PvE next to more advanced PvE enviroments. That would be good - a new idea. Thus PvE wont only becoming by members for titles and gold, but also in order to unlock or play to more advanced PvE (or even and PvPvE) enviroments and to get better prizes! I believe this will attrack players that dont like much PvE (like me!) as it will give them a purpose - a goal to complete rather than making money! 2) In my words, at 2nd answer to [Antheus] - why dont implemented ideas taken by other games, in the GW gamestyle of course, if most people like it, and want to see them? - I agree to that.
