Granite Citadel occupied by monks..Bots?
Doc Zenith
Ive noticed that Granite Citadel is flooded my monks.
Everytime i go in there (European dist english-1)i see 20-30+ Mo/w:s..all got same looks/armors no dyes on armors..they dont speak or reply to anything.
I saw someone asking in a thread whos to blame ruining game economy...

You couldnt have been more correct in your assumption. Those nice little monks are all bots, captured by Anet and stuck in there.
Or their bot farming to and from that location.

To the OP
Your post addresses an issue that's known to be solid GOLD
They'll get their just deserts sooner or later. I didn't know they'd be brazen enough to do 30+ at once though. It's not very subtle...

As long as they're making money, people will run as many bots as they can...
Grasping Darkness
no, theyre friends. they just afk in there and h.a. some thats just a place some ppl hang out. found that out 2 days ago when my monk and i went there to work on our drunkard titles while talking to them. although one thing was a bit odd about the chat response time which was leading me to believe that it could possibly be the same person with multiple accounts but all is speculation and i could care less either way

No, there are masses of Mo/W coming in and going out, some with guilds some without, some with dyed armor and some without, that all follow the exact same pattern. They walk towards the "Spearhead Peak" flagpost -> to the merchant -> back to the "Spearhead Peak" flagpost -> back to the merchant -> to the "Tasca's Demise" flagpost -> and finnaly leave through the Tasca's Demise portal. This is not a few monks standing in one place, it's a serious concern.
Edit: Many have the [wtb] guildtag. I'll add pictures later so you can see it's not normal human behavior.

If it's true we're talking about professional farmers. Those that really ruin the economy by selling in-game stuff and gold on e-bay. Those that must be punished. Those that are using third-party programs to automatize their farming. They break the EULA for using third-party programs (bots) and for selling gold and items on E-Bay.
Hand of Ruin
They're probably chinese farmers there to cap SOJ

Places ANet could prison bots!
1- Maguuma Stade, no ones ever there! This could also piss off people, lots of monks in the most useless place of all.
2- Any RoF/Palace District/Gate Mission, lots of unresponsive monks tormenting people by simply not responding
3- Pre-Searing, hundreds of level 20 monks in Pre-Searing... wtf.
Anyhow, this post was probably mainly off-topic, but i don't really care.

You do realise the bots are designed to talk too, with very basic responces. Hence the weird responce times and possibly weird responces.
As for whether they actually do lock up bots in certain locations. I dont know. I just assumed thats what happened in the Desert because one of the towns there is packed with them.

Bots can win HA!
Occam's razor: the simplest explanation is also the best.
They are not bots.
Maria The Princess
bots are really a key generator that repeats your key actions.
Enter>open chat
type something
Enter>send typed in chat
(not sure what key) run out the gate
