A few simple questions regarding the game...

Firstly, how do you click on something without attacking it. I try to see what level something is but my character starts attacking it like some noob.

Secondly, how do I increase the number of spell slots at the bottom? Eight hardly seems like enough. I'm a WoW migrant so I sort of assumed if you couldn't change it in game there'd be an addon of some kind, but I can't find any.

Please help!

you can set, in options, double-click to make action. That will help you not to make an actions after one click. And eight is the number skills you can have. You cannot change it.

Also, to look at the enemy's level without attacking, you can select the closest target with the C key and then just Tab through all enemies on the radar.

Hold shift to supress actions and click on your target without attacking.

The limit of 8 skill/spell slots is based on the premise that GW requires player skill instead of grind. It's all about builds and counter-builds.

Check out http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page , it's an invaluable resource for new players.

As to the "there'd be an addon of some kind, but I can't find any" part...3rd party programs are against the EULA, should have read it 8 is the maximum, no matter what.

8 skills, 200 attribute points, level 20, 1 elite skill per skill bar.

This is what defines Guild Wars combat balance.

Mods are also a big no-no in GW.
