I have a couple of questions:

1) Should I sell all these materials I have : bones, naga hides, yeti rags, etc.

2) What is the advantage of buying a salvage kit to use on the materials?

3) Once you salvage, can you use for anything or just sell?

1) Technicaly naga hides and yeti rags are salvage items, not materials. Materials are what you get after you salvage them.
No, you should not sell them, at least not untill you have a considerable stockpile and don't need more of that particular material.

2)Salvaging and storing materials is far cheaper than buying them from a materials NPC.

3)Materials are needed to craft new armors and weapons, different proffesions require different materials for their armor and weapons. Also, each armor type for a proffesion usually requires different materials.

thanks for the help.

Is there any chart that would let me know which materials I should keep for a Warrior Monk and get rid of others. It's just too much stuff!!!

Once you get into post-searing (assuming you have Prophecies), you can buy storage and material storage from the xunlai agent. The material storage is a separate tab, so you can store 250 of each type of material (common and rare) without taking up any space.

If you are in pre-searing, yes just sell everything since you don't have any storage yet (except black dye which is very valuable).

for a warrior monk you need iron and steel, maybe some charcoal if you want to turn iron into steel instead of buying/salvaging it. and like the other guy said, buy the material storage for 50g from the xunlai agent and you can store 250 of each type of material there.
