I've been to two events so far, and noticed that my title dealing with games of chance won increases by 1 each time I won a CCShard in the event.
In the first event, it went up 14, and in the second event, it went up 13.
I also noticed that when it came to picking up Wintersday Gifts during the dropping ceremony, the number of gifts I was assigned was 14 in the first event, and 13 in the second event.
Could the number of gifts you are assigned directly correspond to how many CC Shards you win in the circles? That would explain some the discrepancy with the number that people are getting assigned... :dunno:

Yeah, I wondered about that ..... my Smiter shows a few adds to the Lucky and Unlucky title -- even though he has never done any of the games, including the Wintersday event yet

Yes the 9 rings affect your unlucky/lucky title track. And there is no set number about how many presents are dropped for you. The first time i got like 3..and picked up 47 others from people who didnt pick them up and left the district. The next time i got dropped about...12 or so specifically for me and grabbed 68 others.

Wintersday gifts corresponds to the winning diety. (i.e. Whoever wins, more presents drop near him. As far as I can tell, no player gets an unfair anount of gifts.)
Well, I haven't done extensive testing. But you could be right.

I have had 14 drops for me in each event and if you are in the winning ring each round "not the center" you will get shards and 1 gift for each time you win it.
As far as I know everyone in the district gets the same amount of drops but with all the presents it can be hard to see all of them assigned to you.
No idea about the titles, just looked and I have points in both and have never done any of them before.
*EDIT* it is definitely worthwhile to stick around to snag the gifts from the afkers and people who leave, I'm getting around 100 each time with some fast keyboard work

Presents just drop randomly during a certain time period, about 1 per minute for a person. It's completely not connected to 9rings or the winning side nor the amount of shards you got.

presents just spawn next to your character. makes things a lot easier to pick up your own if you just step off to the side when they start coming.
