Do Your Good Deeds Go Unoticed?

Well i had about 15 major runes that i was carrying around with me and i figured hell instead of selling them make some money for myself i would give them away. So i went around a few cities and i asked trivia and i gave the winners a major rune. Tell me why the hell do i have people that either or to lazy or stupid to say thank you at least when they win instead say something like lol or crap. Or people that dont win and they start messaging me calling me an asshole that they didnt win. Seriouslly i went out of my way to try to help out some fellow players and a good chunk of them were just plain stupid or rude. Do you ever do something nice for other people and get shit for it?

Yes all the time. People are never satisfied. I just stopped doing nice things, unless it was for my guild members, but even then most of them have left.

Most of the nice things I do for random (not guildies) players go unnoticed. Giving plats, golds, greens away, helping people through missions and not even a "thank you". But ah well.. such is gw-life. :P

Did you tell them it was a major rune first? I probably would have sold it to the merchant and not bothered saying thank you for such a crappy prize.. If it was something valuable however...

Sure, those people should probably thank you. But ranting about it is just as bad. You shouldn't expect to get any form of recognition for doing nice things. That's like saying "Here, take these items for free, but make sure to thank me or I will be angry!"


Yeah...if it bothers you then don't do it anymore, simple solution.
