I guess I was expecting a bit more to the finale... instead we get a bunch of people standing around for hours on end. I was hoping for something more exciting. Not to mention the fact that I can't even get a Santa hat since all I have is Nightfall.

There is still fours hours to go. It's never over till it's over.

I still can't believe how many people that complain and don't realize that A-Net doesn't have to do these events. Basically the event has now become a raging fight for presents that don't drop for you.

I'm not trying to start a fight here, I was just hoping for something more interactive than "stand on this circle for 15-30 mins and get a hat, then try to click on as many presents as fast as possible before someone else gets to them"

and what? im not allowed to be a little disappointed because I can't get a Santa Hat because I didn't use my precognitive powers to determine that A: theyd be restricted to a single game and B: which specific game theyd be restricted to?

A) It was free, a bonus.

B) If you really wanted the Santa hat, you could have always purchased the game from the online store. In fact, you still can. So put up or ....

Hey I'm not trying to fight I'm just sick of all these people that are whining and saying how unfair it is because they didn't get the hat, it wasn't just targetted at you. And you had a whole what? 13 days you could have bought Prophecies and all info on Wintersday was posted in advance to the finale, so don't complain and say how you are disappointed because the A-Net staff doesn't appreciate that. If anything they are dissapointed at you for not enjoying their hard work.

And p.s. you don't need to rush around, each gift that is assigned to you lasts for ~10 minutes I believe so you have no need to rush and at each present drop you should recieve 14-15 presents.

I didn't get a santa hat either, and I'm not complaining. I have a couple of friends in Factions who missed out the whole thing completely simply because the game store they usually buy their games from was out of stock of both Nightfall and Prophecies before the holidays. They also couldn't buy from the online store. And what about the people in Asia who couldn't get online due to a major earthquake? Really, you don't have it so bad, at least you were able to get the hats from Nightfall.

I loved the finale. Nothing like a spot of gambling and games to get into a festive mood. Also, all the things that we got to enjoy over the holidays, like the snowball fights and quests, were just awesome!

I agree with what's already been pointed out: this event is completely optional, Anet didn't have to do something as big as this. I hope they'll manage to do another fun event for the next winter holidays.
