Question about making a plaync account

Hi there, I have an old dusty account I'm going to play on and would like the "Game of the Year" upgrade weopons on there. However if you make a Plaync account would that change the original ways of editing you're account. Like right now if I wanted to change my p-word, I would just go to edit account, check in change p-word, type in current one, new one then that's it. On old one though, I'm assuming that since I made a plaync account, when I wanted to change it I would get a link to plaync. And I "think" it asked for my cd-key, which I didn't own as the account was my dad's ex g/fs.

Soo, I guess my question is if I made a plaync account, would I be linked over to plaync if I tried to change p-word etc? Thanks tons in advance.

You will be asked to type in your Plaync info in order to change your password if you have linked your game account and your Plaync account together.

I may have created a PlayNC account and linked it to my game account, but not 100% sure.

How can I check?

When I click on "Enter Store"... it asks me for a login (does that mean it's not linked?)

If I try to change my password... would that tell me whether it is linked to PlayNC or not?

I think this whole PlayNC thing is a BIG MESS (ANet has done a bad job on this one).
