Let heroes/henchmen carry items
Muk Utep
I'm not talking about giving them inventories, but they really should be able to carry some of those carryable items for various quests. Some quests are obviously designed with a party of human players in mind where they can all carry something each, so when someone tries to do the quest with heroes and henchmen, they're at a big disadvantage. Some examples are the jungle missions in Prophecies where you have to carry plant seeds or attunement crystals around, doing it alone means you're either going to have a hard time completing it, or will have to spend ages running back and forth carrying one item at a time.

This could be very useful, I agree.
When I play my monk I don't mind carrying things because I can still cast, and usually hang back and let the hench / heros kill the stuff while I heal them, etc.
But on my Warrior, it's a big difference.. especially the one you can't drop the item until you get to the place to drop it or it breaks. Kinda tough as a warrior when you have to slog along, unable to fight. Although I've gotten around it by taken a different team makeup.
But still, I'll /sign it.

I agree there should be space for heroes to carry their own interchangable weapons and/or personal items which only they can use.
But not henches (as they are).
If we gave Heroes (for instance) 5 storage slots, which you could put anything in, you would be giving those with Heroes an extra 15 slots.
Which is an unfair advantage over anyone who doesnt own Nightfall.
Plus if you gave henches any storage space, you would be essance making them Heroes. In which case you might aswell just let us use 7 Heroes.
Heroes and Henches done have storage, simply because it wouldnt make sense. If they had storage, then it would be filled by what ever items they pick up.

I think you missed the point freekedoutfish.
This is about items like flags and such. The best PvE example I can think of in Tyria is Sanctum Cay where someone has to carry the Sceptre of Orr.
Less well known, but even more irritating, the bonus on D'Alessio Seaboard, where you have to carry a jug. If you drop the jug to engage in combat, it smashes and you have to go back and get it again.

However, "bag space" for heroes would be a very good solution. So that they could actually carry weapons and magical items.
ThisI would /sign

Ah your right. I apologise. I like the idea in that case!
/signed if its possible. But the problem then is how do you choose who takes it?
Who ever does will obviously be disadvantaged and might wont have the intelligence to drop it to regain stats.

simple enough fish, when you pull up your heros skill bar there is a target button. click on the "jug" and stop your self before you grab it. then use the target button and the hero carries it. The hero targets the last thing you did in combat so it would be the same thing. Dont know how hard it would be to program though.
as for the OP

I had this idea a while ago, and I think it could also help the people who want to use a Ritualist hero.
The problem with a ritualist hero at the moment is that he can't use most Item Spells to any good effect. The reason is that he can't be told to drop the Item prematurely for its effect.
Now I think that the best way to implement this would be to put a button on the hero control boxes that would say "Pick up" and if you select something like a Flag, then they would go over and pick it up. It would then change to say "Drop Item" just like the button that appears above your skillbar when you pick up a flag.

good idea letting the heros/henchmen carry stuff! Maybe the henchmen can only be allowed to carry an item, but allow the hero to pick up weapons and hold onto them for you. Only problme is that they reserve the weapons for you, so somehow that would have to be changed, but otherwise, i like the idea!
