I am a dedicated Rt player and I need to find a way to counter "Consume Soul"

I can already counter 2 other annoying skills: "Shadow Form" and "Spiritual Pain"

After months of thinking, I still have no clue about "Consume Soul"

Please help

Don't use spirits?

Adapt? Call him as a target, and get your buddies to kill him?

Consume Soul does only one thing, and that's kill spirits. It does it pretty well, as a result. It's fast enough to be a hard interrupt, it's frequent enough that unless delayed via Diversion or something they'll just do it again 4 seconds later, and it's cheap enough to spam. When I get tired of facing annoying rits I take it along with me. There is no counter but the obvious - make him your target and kill him, or resign yourself to playing without spirits - at least if you stop putting them down you might stop the heals.

Try using swap or binding chains if you suspect someone is trying to kill your spirit with a close range skill.
If you are a rit-san, then swap is perfect because you are saving your spirit and going in for the kill in 1 shot.
Binding chains is still one of my favourites, if you are relying on bloodsong and you have a secondary or group member who specialized in degen and life stealing.

Most people charge into the heart of spirits and utilise consume soul to kill them as quickly as they can. A normal solution is to stop casting spirits, but a better solution will be to always have some skills that are not too reliant on spirits, or are not spirits themselves.

Well, if you are playing an organized PvP match w/ vent/ts and friends. You could put the spirits way back, but just enough to reach your allies. If they overextend, tell your friends to smash them.
