Hmm Mr Rat, I dont see me contradicting myself at all. If I'd said, oh it would be fun, and then later said, its not that fun, then id be contradicting myself. Im also sad to find that you give the players of GW so little credit by saying they cant tell the difference between real life and the virtual world.
By the way you so wantonly dole out the flames, "get help", "seek therapy", it seems its u who cant seem to differentiate between those who just want to have a laugh and the sickos you seem to be so familiar with. If you dont want ppl of unknown origin in contact with each other, why dont you close down the internet, ban online games, cos believe me, even without the marriage gimmick, there are still paedo sickos out there anyway, preying on god knows who. i dont need quests rewards special island and so on

In some of the usually deserted outposts I sometimes see couples sitting together. I guess they might like this addition too. However for me this kind of entertainment should be kept aside from video game.

Marriages in other games have certain advantages - usually something along the lines of teleporting one person to the other or hunting in party advantages. But you can't do that in gw.. you can't teleport into an instance and have more than 8 in your party.. you get nothing more or less when you hunt together.. so whats the point? simple roleplay? You can do that without an official marriage thing. Why would they even bother creating all this new stuff to get married when it doesn't even do anything?

I'm all for it. It's definitely an odd idea, but it certainly wouldn't take anything away from the game. Also, you could have a title like, "Wife/Husband/Partner of Xx Fozzy Bear Xx" or whoever you marry.
