Also you can't dumb threads like this for any reason.

Adding more districts would add more load on the EU servers and split people up even more.

Besides everyone just hangs about in the English and German districts anyway.

There are probably a lot of Spanish and Italian players as well, still those districts aren't used. Why? Most of them speak english quite well and finding other players will be harder in their own district than in the english ones.

It is true that splitting the game servers can create more divisions in the population, and that can make forming parties, trading, and other interactions more difficult to achieve. On the other hand, we want to best serve our players, and sometimes that is best accomplished with separate districts. I will inquire about Polish districts -- I had asked earlier and the answer was that it was likely that we would offer a separate Polish district, but things do change, and it's possible that an assessment was made that resulted in the decision to not create a separate district.

I hope we will have word in the very near future about this, and thank you for your patience.

Perhaps instead of causing more server load by adding many very specific districts, districts such as Scandinavian, mediterranean, central european would help please the people who have similar languages with english as their secondary language.

There are more than 7000 languages in the world... unfortunately, we can't add them all.

Russian districts are great, because they are always empty, so you can load faster when you are in a hurry.

Won't it be better to have a way to flag your language in any way?
Like having an small flag with the Babylon code next to the name when a character selects you?

EN: English
ES: Spanish
FR: French
RU: Russian.
DE: German.
Etc.

I was wondering why the Polish districts were empty, I guess it's because I'm the only one who knew they were there:

Last I checked, Poland is in Europe, use the Euro districts thread, the Taiwanese , Koreans and Japanese are lucky they aren't all relegated to a single Asian Districts server.

Not to be an Amerifag elitist, but more players play in America than Europe or Asia, and maybe even combined.

What's next? American Districts - New York? American Districts - Wisconsin?

I did check the date. The last 4 posts before mine were made today, so I felt I should point out that Polish districts had been implemented for those who were unaware, and this thread no longer had meaning. You're welcome.

It's not about locations. It's about language. All of you guys speak english, but in Europe it's not always the case, and well... While being french I'm tired of seeing two people talking in their own language on the local chan with nobody understanding them, and when you say "This is english district, you can use pms" you get insulted.

What are you signing? It's already in place?

Would it be a worthwhile suggestion to close this thread since it serves no useful purpose?

Well, the thread ended up to ask for Croatian districts too.

We don't need to start a new thread for the 'Add language X' suggestion.

So I still think that languages should be noted next to the player name, when their language has no players enough to get a district or the game do not has that language.

A little flag you could choose to show or not.

The only Diststrics imo Guild Wars needs are following:

International (English/American)
West Europe:
German, Holland, Espanol/Portugese, French, Italian, Scandinavia(Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden)
East Europe:
Russia, Poland, Czech, Turkey
Asia:
Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean

this way everything is splitted up onto the importanst languages imo and all regions have their sense...

as it is atm, the american district is imo total senseless and could be merged imo with the international district ...

Umm... no. America and Europe are about even now (not like it matters since you can switch back and forth at any time). The reason there are so many European districts is because if there is 1 person in the Russian district, there is a district. The fact that A.net splits up Europe into so many districts fractures the community. If the ~20-30 people in Russian, Polish, Italian, etc could squeeze into another district easily.
The problem with your arguement is that you assume a district is full.
