I have been using a sword build, and I think the only thing I need is a Zealous mod for my sword.
1. Ripostle
2. Deadly Ripostle
3. Counter Attack
4.Visage 1
5. Visage 2
6. Doly Sig
7. Heal Sig (will try Phys. Resistance)
8. Enraging Charge
this build just put all your points into Str, Tactics, and Illusions dont need anything in Swords at all if you dont like. Ripostle will do about 70-80 dmg.

After a bit of experimentation, I've found that a -2 Stance/+10 AL vs Piercing shield works far better than a -2/-2 shield for this run, even moreso after the AV/SV nerf.

are you sure the smites/graspings are doing piercing damage instead of slashing?

I honestly expected them to do slashing damage...so I spent a lot of time/effort in buying a -2/-2 shield, only to find that the run was far easier with a -2 stance/+10 piercing shield. I don't know how else to explain it.

i was kinda worried about this build when i saw the changes to AV/SV, wasn't sure the energy would last long enough. I thought i might have to swap out the defence mod for an enchanting mod, but it turns out the zealous mod is enough.
Sure i now have a 1-2 second gap between each of the visages, but at most the smites get off a single RoF every 3 or 4 times i reapply visage so its hardly a worry at all. And even with the longer recharge on counter attack it is still quite spammable. All in all the build still works wonders. Now if only i could find a way to stop from getting bugged spawns of coldfires. Shining_Zeal

 when i spawn i get the quest etc but i keep luring the ataxxe in with me  if i manage to shake the attaxe(50% of the time they dont come down) i can only keep the visage up for 18 seconds (they somehow get all thier adrenaline and energy back...) cuz of fear me. any tips?

When you sprint away from the aatxe(if you mean while dragging the graspers down the steps?) make sure you run to the back drop off. If you dont run far enough away, sometimes they will come back for you. This is what i do. Cast EC,SV agro, sprint to back drop off, attack,(which then gives you adrenaline from EC,flail and by then usually need AV. If you have a constant SV/AV then Graspers cant shout fear me, so that is where your problem lies. Has this always happened, or has is just happened after the "temporary" nerf of SV/AV? I run 9 Illusion which gives me a 15 sec cover which means as one is about to run out, the other is ready to go. You can still kill all the Graspers with out any visages anyway and an icy hilt makes a big difference also. Hope that helped

Has there been an anti-code farm put into UW and FOW now because back when I played they didn't have that for these 2 places? I am in the middle of a drought it seems 3 runs in a row tonight no ecto. Thanks for the basis of the build Sunday night I did 1 run and got 5 ecto

ah it might have been that(i didnt read the changes
forgot about the weekend) cuz i could only get up to 9 seconds i think it was and so i only had just enough time when one ended with the enchanting pommel.

I like this build but I am a sword warrior so I came up with a build when using a sword.
Skills: Physical Resistance - 2 inspiration magic Anscestors Visage Sypathetic Visage - 10 illusion Sprint - 6 or 7 strength, not sure Healing Signet - 8 or 9 tatics, if you want extra healing Bonetti's Defense - renews your energy for AV and SV (this is a must have) (optional) I use either Galrath Slash or Final Thrust - 15 swordsmanship - 11+1+3 (optional) I use either Dragon Slash or Hundred Blades Hardest part I find in both builds is running to the smites and taking a group of 7 or more smites. I do not reccomend that.

I've read a lot about the builds but some of them require Nightfall in which I don't have. I also have a few questions. Would people suggest swords or axe now? And what would be the best build for someone with just Prop + Fact? Is Knight's armor really necessary when I already have Glads and Sentinels. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. regarding the armour i would say yes knights makes a big difference, it can still be done in glads or sentinels but you have to spend a bit more time healing and there is less room for error, it is well worth just buying a cheap set of 1.5k knights for this. As for sword or axe i don't think it really matters, my euro warrior uses swords and my american warrior uses axes and i can't find much difference in the speed of the run,

The build on the main page still works. I only use watch yourself instead of 1 attack skill and whihrling axe as an elite. The with the grasps you only need watch yourself as defence (using defence axe) and i tank about 3 groups of smites at once (didn't manage to get 4 groups together before aggro breaks).
