Are they kidding? Read this...

People always rush out the old mantra of "if Anet hasn't said it, it's not true". Reminds me of several years on the battle.net forums.. rumors about the Diablo II expansion. The mantra of "If Blizzard didn't say it, it isn't true." But the rumors being posted WERE true, about what was in the game, and when it was released.

Then rumors that the Warcraft III expansion would be called "The Frozen Throne" and released at some point that summer or whatever. Once again, "If Blizzard didn't say it, it's not true". People ridiculing the name ("Blizzard would never use a stupid name like that!"). And so on, and so on.

And yet, that's exactly what it was called. And it came out right when the rumors said it would.

I'm not saying rumors are ALWAYS true. Not even close. But I can't count the number of times I have had to watch people chanting "If XXX didn't say it's not true!" only to have it turn out to be true.

Try not to be so cynical all the time people. Sometimes this info and leaks are in fact very true.

we have a TV show in Belgium that covers everthing from the latest games to retro. 1.5 months ago they had an interview with the NCsoft representative for the Benelux about the NF part of GW. When they asked him about a possible part 4, he clearly stated that the new part wouldnt be available before AUGUST 2007, but they would be adding new content for the earlier parts of the game.

Gwen might as well serve to be eg 10 quests thing where you fight against power what try to take control over royal family and that way to make Gwen too burn everyone.

Well GW's 2nd bday would be the end of april/start of may. So while I belive there will be a chapter 4 I don't see it comeing out march the 1st as stated by the play.com website. I somehow don't think they will miss doing something for GW's 2nd bday be it chapter 4 or a sorrows furnace type update for Nightfall I guess. But i'm sure they will DO someting

Play.com do not charge your card until dispatch, and they never have. They are therefore not making any quick cash. They are simply making preparations early for sales. They did this with Factions too if I recall correctly.

i heard that Anet will begin banning players who spread false/baseless rumors about their company's agenda....

Regardless of whether the release date on play is right or wrong there's nothing wrong with them allowing people to pre-order Chapter 4 now.

No this is not some blatant attempt by play to get more money or rip people off as a couple of people have posted. For one thing play don't take any cash from your bank until they have actually mailed you the product so they wont take any money from you until Chapter 4 is actually released.

Additionally play don't rip people off either. My past order list on my play account has over 300 Games, CD's and DVD's listed and only once in the years that I have ordered from play did they mess up an order which they promptly sorted out without any hassle what-so-ever.

The release date is more than likely based upon Anet's 6 monthly Chapter release schedule and even if the release date is not what they have up on the site as of this moment they will still honor any pre-orders they get for the product.

I for one have no problems pre-ordering this from play regardless of whether or not the release date is official.

Sorry, but no, I have never said that we were pushing back release. I have never spoken about release dates at all, not in any sense. In short, yes, there will be a Campaign 4. However, we have not commented upon the title, contents, theme, storyline, region, professions, enemies, or release date. In truth, no details have not been released about Campaign 4 other than the fact there will be a Campaign 4. Sp please, in the interests of keeping everyone properly informed and to quell needless rumours, do not misquote me and do not attribute to me something that I have not said--not in forums, not in person, not in the game.

I don't know why but people have the tendency to take everything you say(whether related to guild wars or not) to a definite fact, even if it isn't a fact in the first place. I'm glad you've cleared this up for people.

It isn't even a "money grab", as Play.com don't take any payment until the item is dispatched. It is a simple pre-order, probably to judge the popularity so they can get the required stock when the time comes. Therefore not disappointing fans when it comes to the actual release day.

I dont see any reason of making a new chapter when there r so many things that could be improved in P, F and NF. I say let em first fix and upgrade existing chapters and not release some half made chapters just just to make few extra bucks.
I still say that quality should come first before the money and quantity.

And even if they make next chapter i dont see myself playing the next chapter who will be stale old campains with nothing new to show ( maybe few make up improvements ). I d rather see em making payable upgrades for existing chapters ( something like in SF style.. there are wast areas of old maps still unused or without any real purposes or maybe implementing existing game play ).

Gaile has said no info can be given on C4 yet, so that means nobody knows, perhpas people are taking this vow of silence as a prelude o a push back, but nobody can say for certain, they are just rumours.

That has been suggested countless times, but I doubt they ever will until Guild Wars is distilled across many chapters.

People come to forums to express their thoughts and not just nod and be quiet. If u have problem with that dont come and post here., dont even try to read it than... Discussion is something where two or more sides discuss about one topic. If they would agree on everything than there would be no debate.

And if game will change the way u wont like it I am 100% sure u will the first to come here and complain. So leave ppl to say what they have in mind even if u dont agree with em ok? You will be happier person.
