What is farming? I've heard dye farming and lead farming? But what is it?

farming is where you go to a certain area with the sole idea of getting a certain item, or a certain class of items.
if you decide you want to find a rune, you'll go kill ettins in tyria, if you want to farm chests, you'll put on all of your speed boosts and run around in vabbia. sometimes, people will want to get a certain green drop from a boss. they will go there and kill him over and over in an attempt to get that item.
