Equipment
You want to have max armor with Windwalker's insignias. You will want a Scythe Mastery hood, with a superior Scythe Mastery rune. Your other armor should have the best Vigor rune that you can get, a minor Mysticism rune, and the rest of the armor with Runes of Attunement. A good weapon would be a Zealous Scythe of Enchanting.
Usage
When you first port in, cast Faithful Intervention, and put on Physical Resistance. Take the quest. Use your avatar, and aggro the first group of Grasping Darknesses on the left. Make sure to run back towards where you spawned so you lose aggro of the aatxes. Put up Sympathetic Visage and Mystic Vigor, then start hacking away. Maintain your enchantments and you should be good. Pull the other two groups of Grasping Darknesses in the same fashion. Once they are all killed off, wait for Avatar of Balthazar to recharge. When it is recharged, use it, then start running to the Smite Crawlers.
Chances are Faithful Intervention will get stripped. Cast it back on before aggroing the first group of Smite Crawlers. Alternate Sympathetic Visage and Ancestor's Visage, and the group should be dead in a matter of seconds. Continue on to the main room. Pull each group of Smite Crawlers one at a time, while avoiding Coldfire Nights. You can kill the Smite Crawlers without the avatar, but it is harder. As long as you maintain your enchantments, and keep Physical Resistance up, you should be fine.
Good luck and have fun!
P.S. I just did a run and timed it, it took 23 minutes for a full run.
UW Solo Smite Run [D/Me]

another build that needs Ancestor's Visage -.- every single UW solo build requires that damn skill...
Is it possible to just cast SV and kill the Smites before it wears off? Then wait for recharge and cast it, then continue killing smites.
As for Graspings, could Soothing Images be used as an alternate to prevent adrenaline gain?

I like this build a lot - my biggest problem is the patience required. You kill one group, then have to wait for Balth to recharge, especially when splitting grasps from Aatxe.
Wonder if there's a way to squeeze one of the derv run skills in there? Not that there are a lot of att points to go around. Gonna ponder on this some more, it seems like it could be doable without Balth...
@ Marv,
The problem with taking only SV is that as soon as the smites gain any energy, they'll start chaining RoF, Zealot's Fire, etc - negating your damage, damaging you in the process, and they will probably gain enough energy to cast Shield of Judgment too, and then you've really got problems.
An alternative might be to arcane echo SV - seems like if you echoed SV, cast your echoed copy just before the first one expires, and then hit the original SV again, that would give you time to lay waste to whatever group you came across. It's a little bit more energy-intensive, but it could work for you.

You pull the Graspings while under Avatar of Balthazar (or some other run speed buff). Graspings move at an increased speed while Aatxe do not, therefore as you run away, the Graspings will stick with you while Aatxe peel off and return to their starting points.
Simple rule for clearing the chamber - fight right by the point where you port in, and don't agro anything unless you're under AoB. You should do fine if you stick to those guidelines.
