I am sorry if my thread was unclear before. I will try my best to make it more clear.

-What I want to do: Change my in-game account password for Guild Wars Nightfall.

-What my problem is: I click on the "Change Password" link located in the 'Edit Account' section when I am choosing my character. This screen comes up after I click the "Change Password" icon.

Then when I click this link I registered to the website.

Problems I now encounter:

1) My user name used to log in is not @plaync and it does not fit on the space provided. It is a @yahoo.com account. Even without the @yahoo.com the user name I log into Guild Wars with does not fit in the space provided for "Account Name".

2) When I click the link found inside the website I click on Add Games so that I can make changes to the Guild Wars account I have it gives me the option to modify a Guild Wars or a Guild Wars Factions game with a 25 digit cdkey, but all I have purchased so far is Guild Wars Nightfall. I was wondering if this mattered.

3) When I am trying to add my Nightfall access key I get a message that says "That serial code is apparently already in use. Please verify that it was entered correctly, and contact customer service if you still have a problem." Also, I cannot find an option that just lets me type in my email and password, then my new password.

The steps I saw on the website have told me to add the account I want to modify the password of(In game account) using the account I registered with (Web site account). My error here happened in Problem 3 when it said my cd key was already in use.

THE ONLY GAME I CURRENTLY OWN IS NIGHTFALL and that created my problem in Step 2

It used to be like that, but for some reason Anet decided to make it so you have to sign your game up by typing your access key into a website and then you can make changes to your account. I have no reason why, but they had to make it harder to do. What i am asking is how can I add this key without it saying "That key is already in use."

The only game I have is Nightfall.

EVERYBODY

if you have used the store/created an NCPlay account the original email/password (weak as it may be) at the login screen is now UNCHANGABLE and you get a redirect link to PLAYNC

you can change your new PLAYNC email/password to your hearts content (little good that will do you)

If i understand him correctly:

You can change your PlayNC name and password but you CANT change your GW name and password.

sorry that your having problems, you just joined the thousands of people that made an account when they bought more slots thru store without knowing this would happen.

no

what you have done is lock in whatever email at your isp used to create the account.

you have locked in whatever password you had for your account at the time the PLAYNC account was created......big stink on this.

you can alter the PLAYNC information/pass but the original screen login info is *locked in*

Unless you have linked your GW account to a PlayNC account.

Changing Guild Wars Password in PlayNC
Question
I am trying to change my Guild Wars password, but it keeps sending me to the PlayNC website.

Answer

If you try to change your Guild Wars password through the Guild Wars game client and you are prompted to go to the PlayNC website, this means your Guild Wars account has been integrated into a PlayNC master account.

The first time you access the Guild Wars Official Store, you will be forced to integrate your Guild Wars game account into the PlayNC Account Management system. After doing so, all administrative options, such as changing your game account password, will be managed from your PlayNC master account. For you, the management of your account will then be easier and more secure than ever.

To change your game account password from within PlayNC, go to the PlayNC Account Management page and try to reset it using the instructions below.

Locate your Guild Wars game account in the Games List section.
Click the ACCOUNT DETAILS button.
Click the RESET PASSWORD button in the Account section.
Enter the date of birth on your PlayNC master account, and click the SUBMIT button.
Enter your new password choice twice, and click the SUBMIT button.
You should receive a verification e-mail titled "Password Reset Success" that confirms your password reset.

i plan on calling the plaync phone number they give you (even though it is for technical support) but I'll give them a piece of my mind.
