I have searched the index & used the search button, and I have seen several good ideas to improve the quest log. I have not seen this idea though...
Often, I find myself clicking back and forth searching the quest log, trying to fulfill multiple quests in an area, or keeping track of which quests I want to do now. Here's a simple idea to fix this:
You could shift-click quests to select several of them. Each is assigned a different color, which corresponds on the map & compass to a different colored arrow/star. This makes it easy to keep track of several quests. You can set an upper limit of how many quests you can select this way.

While not a huge priority that'd undeniably be handy.

its a good idea, but there are many other things that the GW developers should work on before this one.

We can't cut down a good idea just because something else has to be done first, right?
Considering the large amount of complaints about the quest log, this would be a relatively simple idea to implement, and one that would really help with the general problem. Most of the other ideas (e.g. menus, filters) require considerably more work than that, with added potentials for bugs etc. With my background in programming, this could potentially be done in one day.
