luxon and kurzick was sorta this...
obviously not what you mean, but still.

Guild Wars & Politics. Would they ever mix?

I agree Kurzick and Luxon are like this and its annoying listening to both factions of players berate each other at the outposts
that was one of the nice things for me about NF
- no more Kurdick and Suxon banter

As a moderate American political thinker, all I can say is NO FREAKING WAY.
There are too many opinions to get everyone's side supported in some way, which would be required or else Anet would get even more hate, ex. "OMG ANET IS BIASED THEY ONLY MADE THE FENOCRATS GOOD AND THE BEGUPLIDANS BAD!" (names are terrible I know, bear with me.)
And the purpose of a video game like GW is to have fun, to escape the stress of real life and delve into a fantasy world without stem cell research, abortion, invasions of Iraq, the death sentence, etc.
The vast majority of players cannot have a "light-hearted, intelligent debate." Check the Local channel in any populated area and you'll soon get an idea of what I mean.
So there's three reasons not to involve real-life politics in Guild Wars
1) Only way to be fair is to include all opinions, which is impossible
2) Games like Guild Wars are made to get away from things like politics
3) The majority of GW players can't have a semi-intelligent debate anyway.

Even with free speech, this is going too far

This is a game, not a political arena. This is also not the place to discuss politics, stereotyping, etc from "real life". Nor is it the place to suggest/ask/wonder about bringing said topic's into Guild Wars.
