Login in an Explorable area....and not an outpost

I can't login on my monk! He's stuck in Ascalon Academy, I was going for survivor title, then those players there treid to spike (I hit f12+enter as fast as I could) then when I tried to log back in, it showed Ascalon academy loading..and when I see the game interface coming up I get err007 tried around 10 times!

What seems to be the problem? It should start back in an outpost and not an explorable area!

Serves you right for being a survivor butthole! That is why you don't do that.

(I have a real answer for you too...wait for a bit because the system thinks you err7'd and is trying to reload you into an area that is no longer "there." With one of the most recent updates you are supposed to be able to log back in after an err7, but apparently when the map is no longer available it has issues. It should take about 10 minutes for it to reset. But seriously, I hope you lost your survivor progress [odds are that you did] for doing something that stupid. If you are going to try and get that title don't go to the arenas and don't put your title above the importance of the rest of the team)

PLEASE read his post correctly. There is Ascalon Academy arena EVERYTIME you are leaving pre-searing. You CANT prevent it.

@Bale Nightsorrow: try to wait a little more and relog? Maybe that'll help but I'm not sure :/

It doesn't happen EVERYTIME you leave presear, only when there are enough people playing. I have made 5 or 6 new tyrian characters recently and ONLY when I advaced to post-searing during peak times did I actually have to fight in the arena.

Regardless, I stand by what I said about putting your title above the group. If you REALLY want that title, level up to an appropriate level before leaving pre-sear so that you don't get spanked so hard in the arena when you try to go post. It is very easy to make it to level 10 or so in Pre without getting killed and that will make you nearly unstoppable in the Academy OR just go post in the middle of the night when not many people are online.

I don't think that you could ever actually know if you will go through the arena or not, so badgering him is a little pointless.

It's called Prestige, and I like challenges!..plus I had no choice but to get through this friggin arena...tried to go to international the second try (I deleted the glitched one) it ended up with hench foes, so I have to go thru it if I have to get to Post Searing.


Well...that didn't work...tried everything...Then decided to start over (did Pre all over again..what a pain) it worked out in the end, I just stood there in the corner watching them fight lol

It's a know bug, I remember hearing of this one a couple of weeks ago, don't know if/how the people with this bug solved it though. Try ArenaNet support, they should either tell you the solution, or fix the bug

Or of course, start a new monk, he's only level 6.

Log a support ticket, or...

bite the bullet and fight in the academy arena.
