Petition for dropping the gem requirement to access Ritualist Hero Quest
Painbringer
Area Net please take away the gem requirement for entry to this quest. Solo players have no chance at accessing this hero unless they fork out tremendous amounts of gold. We have a limit of 3 heroes and no henchmen to choose from in the DOA which makes it impossible for soloists to explore the areas and farm for the gems needed.

Holy instant gratification batman! Join a PUG and work for it like the rest of us... not everything in life is easy and sometimes you have to work hard on something to get a payoff...
Edit: No, I don't have him yet... but will one day...

Well they are apparently working on some way of making the aquistion of a ritualist hero easier. From what I have heard, they are thinking of doing something to how you get Razah.
And for all you people who think "But I already spent time/money to get him!" stop whinning, that's what you told us when we said his aquisition was unreasonable.

Give the people who got him already a free Ambrance of Truth or something like that. I just want to get the hero and never have to go back to DoA again. I know Anet probably had the best intentions in mind making it, but it seems like very few enjoy this place, including some talented enough to make it through.

I bet it can't cast properly deploys binding rituals.
I also bet you have to manuelly issue the order to drop w/e binding rit.
So I say again... is it worth 4gems, time, and effort???

That's if Unless this Ritualist Far exceeds a normal ritualist, which it's not likely...

Well, since I've been asking for this since they added Razah...

For everyone against this, why?
I like the DoA, and totally agree: leave that alone.
However, then gem requirement is simply too steep for me to have to meet it to have access to a hero on all of my PvE chars, especially when no other hero has any similar requirement.
I have at least one character of each class, getting one of each gem for each character is simply too much work just to access my only chance at a ritualist hero when heroes of every other class are so easily obtained.

Even if you are a soloist/using heros, it is still possible to solo parts, if not all of the 4 areas. Therefore, it is possible to get those gems.
Some tips, city, gloom, and foundry, a monk as tank and have either your hero as partner or a friend, you figure the rest.
Veil, cliff, kill stuff up top and cc down.
This area is designed to require you to give some thoughts as to what you are doing. Evaluate the zone, then find ways to do it.
It is also unfair to players who spent the time soloing, or getting into groups to acquire those gems initially.

FYI this "Elite" Mission is not like the elite missions in Factions were you get to have 12 players.
If Anet doesn't want to do anything about the gemstones, then make it possible to have 12 players in a team.
DOA is a elite mission and it should have the same setup like in Factions... "The Deep" and that Other one..

FYI:
soloing doesn't require one to beat the entire place.
For instance, back in the UW glory days, a monk solo the bulls and smites and all the other solo builds have the same mentality of soloing a certain part, groups of foes, or a singular boss, etc.
Next, faction elite is only 12 players. Also, having beaten all 4 parts of the DoA within about 8 hours, I think I know what I'm talking about.

For the "average" player, not many know your style of play. The whole point of playing a game is to Have fun. Since when did Guild Wars turn "Hardcore?" If you'd like, why not make a video of yourself beating the mission in under 8 hours maybe people can watch and copy your tactics. Heck, maybe even anet will nerf your method in the process because it was probably done a cheap way much like they did with the 55monk
I never said anything about requiring players to beat the whole area. However, your suppose too in other to get the 4 gemstones. I'm proposing that they make it 12 players and not 8 players, much like in the elite missions in Factions. That's to say if you have ever been to these 2 elite missions.

What does something being possible have to do with whether I should have to do it?
I have soloed and duoed a fair bit here, I know it is quite possible, and if you want 1 of each gem, you can always just do the quest.
However, just because its possible doesn't mean I should be forced to do it just to receive something on par with the average non-elite PvE content.

As I said, stop whinning. You yourself have already said to us to stop whinning, now it's time you took your own advice.

to do it solo and therefore based my /not sign on the fact that the orginal post was about how doable it is to get the gems. I agree with you that Razah isn't really any better than any other heros, (but that's also merely opinion.) By all means, you're not forced to get Razah either and the implication of the first post was that the player did want to get Razah and that he felt that being a solo type of player won't grant him his wish. Therefore, seeing the facts that it is by all means possible, I maintain my argument on that you can solo for gems.
Here's the original first post.

As for the farming/solo method, it's doable, but again, it requires experience of the area, knowing the build of that particular solo method, as well as having a bit of luck.

And I already spend close to 200k for the Gems to unlock him for my Dervish that was never going to be able to complete the nessasary quests.
The quest for Razah is masters difficulty and is of appropriate lvl for the Hero aquired. But the Gems have no place and serve no purpose other than to limit the Hero to those die hards who have the time and people needed(class people want) to do the quests or those rich enough to pay for him.
Drop the Gems, Keep the master difficulty quest!
