Prophecies armor(factions also)/15 attribute
chaoticmadness
This has bugged me since Factions came out and it really started to make me angry when nightfall came out. First off I think the Prophecies 15 attribute quests should be much easier and not take as long to get. They arent extremely hard in the first place but you can basically get them straight away in factions and especially nightfall. They should change this so you do these quests when you get to post-searing or maybe even pre (as a requirement to move onto post). I'm also angry that the 3 games have different armor systems. This seems stupid to me because I would love to have chainmail armor with a radiant insignia. It really limits tyrian-only characters because they may like knights armor but want chainmail armor's insignia. That said they should include an island or central trade area with just merchants and all npc owned shops (armor(only 1.5/1k armors),dye, runes, material, rare materials, etc.) anybody could get to it (save PvP characters) but they couldnt get the 1.5k/1k armor unless they have gotten to a place where they can already buy max but they could still buy tyrian and factions (if they came from nightfall) (save kurzick and luxon). Thats all i have to rant over thanks!.

i agree they should upgrade the old armors to the new system or have a way to upgrade the old in the nightfall. (there is a thread about this already)
they probably will do it eventually either way, thats my guess anyway. attribute quests are fine. they do not need modifying, they are easy. if you think other wise, you're doing something wrong.

it takes so much longer to get to them tho

Prophecies gameplay is about growth, levelling character slowly through the storyline. I don't think you can compare them at all, nor should all campaigns be the same.

which one are you having problems with? have you beaten them both already? the one in the shiverpeaks is easy enough, once you get to the old hag, enter that outpost to be able to come back ez, go out and follow her, dont worry about fighting monsters, get her to keep going. then have the mobs go crazy over your team, lure em away from the res shrine near there and then let everyone die. once you res, go to old hag, she will do her thing, and you finish the job.
for the desert one in proph, you dont even need to fight anything, bring speed buffs, and run your way there to the snake dude, the huge statue falls for you go travel over to the other huge rock formation. you seriously dont need to fight anything, especially if your a warrior or mesmer with illusion of haste.

its not the difficulty for the last time i9m saying you have to go through more than half od prophecies to get the quests while in factions and nightfall you get them straight away

But they are not the same and shouldn't be the same!
Play Prophecies if you enjoy doing things like fighting tons of Undead Hordes for 500XP (and a useful skill or two), questing for 250xp + Tall Shield[1] , unlocking skills one by one. Or you like the runs - Drok's Run, Sanctum Cay, "Running the World All Stops", "Desert tours", "Running infusion for 1k...".
Pick Factions if you want to zip to Lev 20 in a day or two, where just fetching someone a teddy bear gets you 3000XP, but you have to buy almost every skill you want to use. Or you like Alliance Battles (shame about Fort Aspenwood etc though - Anet should add that Exclude List thing). Or you like Bosses that smack you twice as hard.
Pick Nightfall if you want something in between Factions and Prophecies in level advancement speed, but with heroes . Or you like "Ferrying to Consulate Docks for tips", or playing mime games... And you like bosses that smack your whole team twice as hard. And last but not least you like being swallowed by wurms... Shaihulud FTW!
[1] Prophecies has lots of nifty items as rewards. The marksmanship 6 req bow has very good stats, and there's that infamous Cities of Ascalon quest for the equally infamous item rewards...

Crom The Pale
Keep in mind that in prophicies its possible to get to the desert, without running, and still not be lvl 20.
This is one reason that the 15 attribute points were located there and I believe its justified as the missions to get there are in noway comparable to the difficulty of missions in Elona or Cantha.
As for Armor I do agree that the old ones should be updated to accept Insignias, however since it is just a cosmetic thing I highly doubt Anet will ever bother.

I don't have a problem with the 15 atribute quests. But it would be realy nice if they updated the armor system of all chapters to the current NF system.
This way there will be more variety in looks and people could more personalize there char.
So in a way I do agree with you.
