Make it a panel that also contains the health bar for any NPC that decides to tag along after you (ie the Chosen in Divinity Coast) and /signed
I hate the NPCs that you are supposed to take care of that don't show up in your party list... the whole point of this enhancement should be to make minions/npcs easily selectable for spell casting (healing, death nova, etc). Agree that control should not be part of it.

diablo2 used to have icons for each of your minion types and general health in a bar underneath them, it was simple and efficient. the Minion box in the post above me is perfect and would be optional and very very handy. It'd be great for rits to keep track of their spirits too.
