Events being only one day

In my opinion, the special one day events should not be on a holiday as in the case of the wintersday headgear and storage add. New Years Day is a national holiday and a lot of people are traveling or participating in events which do not allow them access to a computer and therefore they miss out on the one day awards. As in my case, I was traveling and had no access to a computer. Halloween is not a national holiday and most people still have to work and therefore are in town and have every attempt to participate in the one day event. What does everyone else think?

I think you should stop whining. Wintersday has been around for almost 2 weeks now right? First you'll want a few extra days of gift dropping. What's next? Gifts the entire year?

Events have always been one day long. In fact, Wintersday was on the same day last year, and yet there were very few complaints.

With Halloween, I'm quite certain that noone has to work for 24 hours on one day.

So if people can't play when they're working, and people can't play when they're on holiday, then when can they play? Most people tend to work more than one day a week, and the same goes for traveling.

Holidays are fine as they are, it just makes them that much more special to have them only during one day.

I think the OP is more concerned with the fact that the festival hats only drop for one day, and that there is no other way to get them.

HOWEVER, it's just a game, and festival hats have absolutely no bearing on the game, except to show that "you were there" at a particular festival event. Personally, I was traveling during "Day of the Tengu" last year, and couldn't get a Tengu mask, even though I had pre-ordered Factions. That's the one hat I'm missing, and it kinda sucks. Life goes on though, and I'll content myself with being able to pull out an original Pumpkin Crown or Yule Cap from last year when others pull out their Freezie Crowns from this year. The hats don't do a damn thing in the game. If you're out to impress someone, go get the KoaBD title.

And incidentally, to the OP: The "storage add" you are referring to is the Festival Hat NPC, which was added at the beginning of the Wintersday event. EVERYONE has access to that. There was no other storage granted to players who were at the festival, only the gift drop and the hats. You didn't miss anything that has any bearing on playing the game itself.
