God factions with titles!

I had a epiphany a few days ago, i'm just too lazy to write on here sometimes.

We all know about balthazar faction..

how about instead we do this.

Rename the balthazar faction to just faction (or battle faction or w/e). And each of the 5 gods have their own faction. (like the luxon/kurz).

you take your faction and donate a set amount each time to the god of your choice by going to their altar and kneeling, and give it to their avatar.

And just like with the titles of ally to lux/kurz, there will be titles for how much you have given to your god. An example would be.

Tier 1. (donated 20,000 faction to god)
Neophyte of Dwayna
Neophyte of Lyssa
Neophyte of Grenth
Neophyte of Melandru
Neophyte of Balthazar

and eventually maybe you get to stuff like

Tier 5 (donated 1,000,000 faction)
High Priestess of Dwayna
Face of Lyssa
Chilling Hand of Grenth
Druid Lord of Melandru
Supreme Warlord of Balthazar

Obviously the names could use some work. Its just that the other gods dont get too much love besides balthazar, dwayna, and grenth. Lyssa gets worshipped in words by the people of elona and thats it, and I think melandru gets some mentions in maguuma.

Plus more titles like that would be cool, shows people your colors >.>

Can't argue with this one. Plus it'd be a good excuse for realms for lyssa, dwayna, and mel as well as faction quests for all 5.

Actually, that does sound pretty cool. Although, you'd get a lot of people into the PvP areas just for the titles there and nothing else.

Btw, nowhere in the suggestion does it state that the way to get faction would require combat of any type.

On a side note, Judge of Grenth makes more sense to me than hand or w/e, as he is also the god of justice.

and you are right, i thought about that too earlier today before your reply on others ways to get faction other than just combat. So you have two choices.

Take faction from combat and donate it to a god.

OR

Each god has its own way of gaining faction... obviously anet would have to make different ways of each god's faction to be earned. What they could be I have no idea =) At least no idea that could currently fit in with game mechanics.

More love for all of the gods. I don't PvP much, but I still get Balthazar faction every now and then that I don't have a good use for. This would be a good use.

i rather use the faction to unlock skillls and stuff

So you suggest whole 5 new types of faction and not even a 1 way of gaining any of them? I think there's no need for all those.

But

The whole Balthazar Faction problem needs to be solved, currently it's very easy to gain full unlock and the faction gain just stops. There's no way to display your gained faction - titles would be great! And there's the whole problem of faction lock, not being able to spend and gain faction at all.

Or perhaps even use faction to get into that god's realm (though ANet would have to add in 3 more realms, then... hint hint), instead of just paying 1k gold. Yes, 1k gold isn't much, but some people are actually THAT broke (Atm I have a bit of gold in storage again, phew.)

Yess, except make the requirements higher. Emotes maybe? Not full-fledged emotes like for fame but something that changed what your character looks like for a moment. Example for Grenth: Rank 1, you have grenth's head for 10 seconds, 2nd tier is changing into avatar of grenth for 10 seconds, 3rd is grenth (not avatar) dancing, 4th is Grenth summoning bone minions, 5th is a glorious Grenth swinging his scythe.

Good idea, but that titles must give a inherent effect to player, like all pvp titles adding +5.000 factions.

About "going to their altar and kneeling" I don't like it, I prefer a new NPC that manage the "donation" of faction.

so like... somebody made a close to carbon copy of my idea and I want to show them up that I was the original OG of this idea >.> so...
