As a number of people above have said, very unfair and uncool.
Idea to stop leavers?

What's the max for that title? I'm going to farm it. Also about the idea of mapping out of an area before completing it, I usually map out of the area on my skill capping trips. Am I not going to be able to log back in for 5 minutes, because I got what I wanted and left the henchies there to rot?

To not get flagged as a leaver in pve, all they would have to do is cause a team wipe. There are times when I have completed missions & quest while the team was 5/8-7/8. I rather they just leave than try to kill us all.

This would not work at all. Salvages anyone? within a course of a long map I have probably salvaged at least 2 stacks of wood, 1 of metal, a bit of steel, loads of dust... you get the idea? How in the world would the game keep track and be able to seperate what I salvaged before hand and afterwards? What if I salvage an item that I brought into the level? Would I lose that material? Can-o-worms. I rather not lose my drops, anyway this just encorage people to pull the lan cable in their computer before completely raging. Sure they have to wait 10 minutes but they get to keep their drops.
Find another way to punish those who want to rage, taking their drops does not work.

What about this.
When a person maps out (while in a party with active players and the objective isnt completed) he gets a negative remark. If you get up to 5 of these points in lets say a timespan of 3 days (meaning this person would be deliberately leaving groups) he cannot join other ppl anymore in party for 1 or 2 days.
To prevent ppl to go afk instead, give the party members the option to KICK afk players that havent been active for about 2 minutes. If more then 75% agrees to kick that person, the person gets kicked and gets a remark.
Same rule would apply to this system.
If ppl get 5 remarks on a period of 3 days... they cant play with other ppl and just have to play with henchies...

Solution:
If you leave a game, you won't be able to join another game for 10(for pve) or 3(for pvp) minutes for each party member that's still alive.
If someone really have an emergency and have to leave, he/she won't want to enter another game anytime soon anyway, so why care that much. I think this is the best solution

So... when you got a Wammo with all tanking skills, Smiting Monks (a very bad one that likes to tank and smites off of himself), a PvE touch ranger without rez, an ele with a sword, a tanking sin, and a IW mesmer with a bow because she forget IW only works on melee weapons... am I supposed to stay and waste about 20 hours failing this mission or leave and get a better group?
This thing is unfair and pointless. You want to stop leavers? Get friends or henchies/heroes. This has been discussed MANY times and have resulted in flame wars most of the time. Use the search option before posting a new thread, it helps, trust me, I did it myself!

there is a VERY big problem with this...
eventually, everyone in the party, will have to leave.
for a mission, perhaps theres a way around this, but FoW is an explorable area, and with the way you described it, the last person standing would get everything.
so then you just get people who join and go perma-afk.
No thanks.
this, however, is a good solution.

I know this behaviour from the Heroes of Might and Magic games and I highly prefer it over the current situation where you just lose the leaver's character. |

but taking their items, not letting them log in, adding a "jail" is just bad its a game you shouldnt be bound to it
