just out of curiosity, what kind of noob doesnt realize what an admin message is? i mean, the whole thing is green. even if i had never seen an admin message before, just seeing an all green message would probably be significant.
besides that, i swear all the time. i say many dirty things in local chat, sometimes racist, and many involving intimate relationships with peoples mothers. now. i have never been banned/reported, but if someone asks me to stop, i am smart enough to stop. i dont care if it is admin or not, its a matter of courtesy. i have a dirty mouth, but i can control it when in the presence of people who it offends.
im glad your bro got banned. this should teach him that when someone says stop, he should stop.

The Moderators for Guild Wars are not biased. Brother, here, got a fair warning to stop spamming. If someone tells you to stop, anyone really, do you stop? The good apples stop, the bad apples keep going.

Why doesn't A-net have some sort of sign to tell them that they are Moderators?
Why should they?
Everyone know's to act good around them. Only when they are not there will you act like the person you really are. A-net should keep undercover.

Actually the EULA/RoC allows Anet to do absolutely anything they please with their game. You'll find almost all commercial software has similar terms and conditions. They could quite effectively ban and kick people and change absolutely anything they want without having to give one single reason for it. That's just how most EULA's are worded.

Complaining about it will get you nowhere, since by buying, installing and playing the game you by default agreed to these rules. Also, it's not a democracy.

Lord knows waaaay too much politics hit games and I'm not a fan of any of it, but is interesting he got knocked for a week saying he doesn't like the French. However it might be more how he put it right?

I'm actually always amazed at what kind of unbased dislike happens in some games across the board where everyones impressions of politics makes them lash out in language (and obviously at times worse) at those citizens.

Quite frankly does anyone always love their country's govt? Exactly.

Well like title says GOOD. im one of those persons who turn off local chat and trade chat because it gets annoying. First everyone who wants to sell stuff spams both and second there is too much swaring, badmouthing, and arguing going on in local. Just yesterday i tried to explain what to do with presents and some person fliped out on me in local chat and that set everyone off..then there was talk about your mom and your sister i got so tired of it i went to maguma stade for the quiet. This game really needs observers to stop the bigotry and racism that is flying around in every district. Im a big fan of being able to say what u want but there is no need for fowl language and racism. Just makes the user look stupid.
So good for Anet for kicking your brother. Maybe he will learn that this is a game and to chill out, but he will probly just get worse. If I was the one who suspended him i would have played "tin-god" and just booted him for good.

have your brother Read the rules before u click that the "I accept" dot the next time you start a game.

To the whiners: Go away. We don't care. It's against the EULA, and therefore against the rules. Therefore, the OP wasn't banned because the GM abused his/her power; he was banned because he broke the rules. That straight?

I'd like them to change the system as soon as someone types the swear word thats in the filter, they get logged out and can't log in for 5 minutes.

It's a game there isn't a good reason to be abusive or to swear at anyone, sure things might get annouying at times, but thats the internet on the whole. Theres the bad, but you get much more entertainment than you do bad experiences.

well, guess what? someone WAS watching this time. and he got what was coming. no "tin-gods" here, just someone doing their job.

if this certain GM was here during Gaile's stay, then it's common sense that he'd want everyone to shut up and stop spamming "WTS WTB" so that Gaile could get her answers in, along with the gamers' questions. he was spamming this, the GM asked him to stop, he cussed the GM out, he got the banstick.

and someone's saying this was a surprise? give all of us a break.

I think the issue in question's been discussed well enough. Some people need to go reread the guidelines of GWG, as well, most specifically the "flaming" part.
