i just beat Nightfall a week or two ago, and i decided to try and head to DoA and do some of the missions there for a challange, so i get over there and noticed im the only ranger there. me thinking this just might be coincedence i start advertising to join a group. sadly it seems rangers arent welcomed there. it kind of gets to me knowing that i beat the game but i cant even get into a group for an area u dont get until after you beat the game. and yes ive asked guildies ( and it seems half of them dont own NF, and the half that do havent beat it yet). ive tried my friends list, only three people online most of the time. and i know there is a DoA party sign-up thread, even then im not able to get on and play GW( homework etc etc). and im just tired of doing B/P groups at tombs, cause 99% of the time all i get is staffs and one time a offhand ( like that makes a difference -_-) and i would love to do some urgoz runs but since NF has been out the place has been empty =(.
i know some of you are gonna tell me to stop whining and get over it, its just a game. i know it is but knowing I have a almost slim to zero chance to get into a group in an area i earned the right to play in kind of makes me think " why should i even beat the game" ok people start your flamethrowers.
Ranger Hate in DoA =(

I went through the same thing with my W/E in URGOZ....
No, it's not fair, but, unfortunately, it is what it is. Right now, groups are running with the team build that those very first groups used to do DoA; until more people get an interest in DoA, and arent afraid to experiment with different builds, you might be stuck a while....

Wow, I hope your kidding. I get into a group everyday I go to DoA as a ranger. I mostly do spirit spamming, but atleast its a group.
And as for my warrior I get into groups pretty often also. Use a W/E and use a obs flesh tank build.

I can't say I've ever had much of a problem getting a team for DoA, espeacially stygian veil, but then again, it does take a long time sometimes. Maybe you just need to be patient.
Hmm, Wingless Warrior - I hope you never use a paragon secondary lol.

Er, most of the 'standard' DoA builds include a ranger. So I'm at a loss to comprehend the problem.

Assassins, Rits, Dervishes, Paragons and Mesmers have a much harder time getting into groups.

Maybe you just came on at a bad time.
But then again, I guess I can see why it's harder for you to get into a group. The players who have been playing DoA for awhile probably have a group of familiar players and would prefer to do it with them instead of having to play with a brand new person that would need time to teach. Also, there is a way around needing a ranger. Some players go ranger secondary.

There is no real "hate" of any kind in any parts of Guild Wars.
Some areas just call for some kinds of builds.
I suggest making a Trapping Ranger and going with that, as they are popular and useful where ever. Besides as pointed out there are DoA builds which include Rangers in them.
But maybe you should try going with Guildies or friends, because a lot of PuG only wish to use the builds that work and are not willing to think outside the box.
Closing.
