Im fairly new to this game and have only been playing three months and am only only up to the crystal desert in prophecies but I am planning on making an account in factions. I was trying to work out combos for the new classes and could only think up of a few that might work for ritualists and none that would work for assasins. I thought a ritualist/ranger or ranger eritualist might be all right as both deal with spirits alot. Maybe a ritualist/necromancer would work as the ritualists ability will boos the hitpoints of the ncecromancers minions or maybe a ritualist/memsmer or mesmer ritualist would work as I have noticed alot of ritualist skills take a long itme to cast. What do you guys reckon. Also the only combo I could think up that owuld be decent for an asssain is assasin/monk. What other types can you think of that might work because I cant think of any.
Also I have a nercomancer/ranger and I have noticed it isnt that good but I was thinking necromancer/mesmers or necromancer/monks are good so do you reckon I should do the quest in crystal desert to change my second class to monk or mesmer? Also would all the skills I have gained from quests for rangers, would I get that many skills for a monk if I chose to change to one?
Thanks alot for reading this and taking the time to give me advice in advance I am sorry this is a long post its just I have a few questions I really want to know the answer to.
Im new, Need advice on good builds

First of all, when you say "making an account in factions," I just want to make sure you understand that you can just upgrade your current account to have access to Factions. This may be obvious, but I thought I'd mention it to prevent your making a bad mistake. IIRC you will get 2 more character slots when you upgrade as well.
I wouldn't worry too much about secondary classes in PvE. Most of the time, you have everything you need in your primary class. Usually, you'll only use your secondary for 1-2 skills at most. There are a few exception, but for starting out I'd focus on your primary. Also remember that once you ascend your character, you can change secondary profession at will.
As far as Ritualists and Assassins, both classes fit pretty well with what I described above. Most assassins use all assassin skills, or they might go A/W for Burst of Aggression (Nightfall skill). Ritualists tend to be pure rit as well, though they might go Rt/Me with Mantra of Concentration/Resolve to prevent being interrupted while casting spirits.
For necros, there are really a lot of options. If you play a minion master, N/Mo can be nice for Heal Area; however, this isn't entirely necessary if you have reliable monks. N/Me builds tend to revolve around hexes. N/R isn't used as much because necros don't have much use for most ranger skills. You might consider using the Winnowing spirit with minions since it will increase their damage though.

Thanks for giving your imput alot of it was very useful. I wouldnt really mind what build I had apart from I plan to use the character for pvp later. So I want to make it a good build for that. I suppose pretty much all pvp assasins are assasin/wariors but I cant see the point in mastering in four types of fighting when you are most effective when you have most of your attribute points in one of the weapon masteries.

Vorianatriedes, A/W Assassins don't put points in any other weapon skill - you're right about that, it's simply not efficient.
However, Warriors have access to some utility skills that work even with zero points put into their attribute - Assassins can make good use of both Burst of Aggression and Flourish at zero Strength, for instance.
Generally speaking, PvP Assassins use at most one or two skills from their secondary class and rely mainly on their 'sin primary.

for your necro stuff I'd say go ahead and change your secandary to both mesmer and monk it will come in handy and will make you more versital in your play style.
