Actually, ranger with monk = ranger mending, that only gets owned by a group with 5 warrior pures with vamp weapons and a monk who goes smite. :}

But play anything you haven't played before. Mesmer = most unloved.

There is no "best" or "most powerful" in this game. Play something that you find fun, especially if it is for PvE.

Every class can be deadly or meek dependant on the person behind the controls. Look at what role you want to be before making the character. Then again, that could be why I have 1 of every char, so I can try new things out on the fly.

Do what you want to do. Plenty of time and character slots to figure things out.

Not that I like to play the Echo but... this is the words that describe what I think : "For you, W/Mo with a Firey Dragon Sword and Mending."

forget the "most powerfull" think like this and you're dead before you even load.

Expunge Enchantments sin > any Wamo tank.

Riddle them with conditions and kill them before they can gloat about their immortality.

Agreed, no "best", no "most powerful" build exists. Each profession is built to be able to counter all others.

I like the combo of Necromancer/Mesmer or Mesmer/Necromancer. Discord spamming is great.

Disease/poison/weaken enemies, with a hex (slow melees, slow casting of spellcasters, slow attacks of range attackers) and discord till they die.

If you want to be able to counter any other profession easily Mesmer is the way forwards. They can be difficult to play well but they are so much fun to play...and you can take wammos down not a problem. Mesmers are a very versatile class.

Otherwise, if you're wanting the most "Powerful" Character...then I'll have to agree with the others and say W/Mo is for you. "you're not just a wammo, you're a mighty hero". Call it: Mighty Dragon Lord.

But really I'd have to agree with everyone else. No class is "Most Powerful" and every build can be countered.
