Hero armor upgrading

I only have one simple question.. What does it do?? I dont understand that :S

makes your heroes look cool?ya thats about it.

It does about as much as buying 15k armor instead of 1.5k armor for yourself.

i could care less what my heros look like, since im the only one who sees them.

Ooh, so they change how they look?? Is there any place where i could see how they will look after the change, so that i dont have to regret doing it??
