Minor Question about Prodigy's Insignia (Mesmer)

Well, it wouldn't really fit in either the PvE or PvP forum, so I'll just ask it here (please move it if there's a better spot for it).

I was wondering yesterday how Prodigy's Insignia work.
These Insignia are new in NF (as in, the mods), namely:
Armor +5 (while recharging 1 or more Skills)
Armor +5 (while recharging 3 or more Skills)
Armor +5 (while recharging 5 or more Skills)

Now, my question is: would the armor bonusses also be active if you use a self-disabling skill, such as Blackout, or Psychic Distraction (was thinking of trying a combo with PD and these Insignia)?

Being guildless at the moment, I can't really find out by myself wether it would work or not (no scrimmage ability ftl), so eh... would anyone mind helping me figure this one out? Should be easy to do in one scrimmage with a mesmer vs an ele with Fire skills.

...Oh, and thanks in advance

I believe that while a skill is disabled its not recharging.
So the answer would be no.

Now if you were to use a skill that makes them all recharge it would work, it doesnt matter how they are recharging as long as they are recharging,i think theres a warrior skill that makes all your adrenline skill recharge for 5 seconds.

Rage of the Ntouka.

But, hmm... what about Auspicious Incantation then... it says 'disable' about the next skill you'd use, though it's basically just a longer recharge. I'd like to have some solid proof instead of just thinking about it, that'd be the easiest way to test it
