Where is the best place to farm dyes???

Dont need an builds i have plenty ^^lol. Just need to know where dyes are most commonly know to drop. Need the name and screens would be appreciated

Dyes drop randomly anywhere, but there seems to be a general consensus that they drop quite often in Pre-searing Ascalon (noob area in Prophecies). Off bandits, or so I've heard.

dye drops r completely random.

they are more common in pre because Pre is smaller and there are less enemies so they are more likely to drop dye.

im pretty sure theyre random, but some people favor spots that tend to drop them good dyes. i dont know if this amounts to anything, but i have found 2 blacks and countless other dyes 55 farming in nebo terrace and the cursed lands killing the undead.

I have personally found more dyes farming everything in general than I have focusing in one spot.

Got like 10 of one, 9 of another, 8, 10, so forth and so on with the exception of Black/White/Silver, which I'm like 4/1/3 on at the moment.

But, my opinion to you is that farm everywhere where you can, your bound to get dyes from that location reguardless.

I have gotten more dye drops in the Plains of Jarin than any other place. In the time I have spent raising my new Nightfall characters through their Sunspear ranks in that place constantly going out and killing everything. So far I have collected 7 black dyes, 3 white dyes, and countless other colors from that place.

One thing that some people believe works well to get dyes is to keep killing something and rezoning until you enable to farming code. That way when you kill the mobs when they drops something it will be low items which dyes in general are considered to be. I am not sure if ANet has changed the rarity assignment of black and white dyes though. I have not seen any proof to this in my times playing but I have seen many people swear by this method.

pre searing ascalon during "bandit raid" quest. i kept running the quest and got at least 1 dye per 2 runs....got a black dye my third try.

dyes and rare runes drop alot in consulate docks. i got 4 rare golds and alot of dyes there

Kamadan--> champions down..lots of dyes drop there kill termites..4groups

or Uw solo..lots of dyes there 2

I find usually lower areas drop more dye but i dont know ^^.

i got alot of dye from gargoyles north of nolani academy : | more than average

I got 4 Black Dye drops from Devourers in Eastern Frontier...

Mind you, I was farming chitin and got almost nothing >_>

Got 2 Black Dyes in 1 run outside Ran Musu Gardens on starter island in factions while farming Jade Wind Orbs
I felt so lucky

I get dyes just doin mish's and quests. I once got 2 black in one mish.........And for some reason I never get them while farming.......

So.. its pretty apparent that dyes drop randomly

They drop randomly, but yes it does seem that I get way more whilst doing missions. All by black dye's I have ever got was from missions and pre sear, I have never got a black dye from all the months of troll and UW farming. Guess thats how life is eh

duh they are a random drop. anywhere that u can easily solo the enemies is the best place to farm them. so low level creatures are good. bandit raid quest has a lot of enemies, thats why it seems to drop a lot. just farm anywhere u can solo a lot of enemies really fast.
