First of all, since ANYONE can post info on wiki not all of the info is correct, I happen to believe that strength does indeed effect damage with every attack, I have experimented with it at the training grounds at Temple of Balthazar, if you have doubts go there with strength then zone, take your points out of strength, and then go back and see how much damage you do as opposed to your first trip. You will believe too.

As stated by Dark Angel strength does affect every hit not just skills. I have tested it myself after reading his/her post. Also Primal Rage disables skills for 10 seconds but lasts much longer. If you are smart use primal rage last then when the skills are available after 10 seconds then chop away. I run several warrior builds and Primal Rage is one of my main skills even when I go IWAY.

Guys, Savio is right.

but, if you want to test, Use a W/A, bring Critical eye, and No points in Str, use until you crit, screenshot the damage, and resone, add points, wait for crit, and screenshot.

Post your findings.

no, darkangel and megamouse, your both wrong on this one. strength only affects your attack skills. firstly, savio has tested this numerous times, as have many, many other individuals, and no one has ever come up with anything that shows it triggers on all attacks. in fact, the findings are obvious. do this (just did it, takes about 4 minutes in total):

roll a war, go the the isle of the nameless, put a set number of points into swords (say 12), and 0 in strength. go out with wild blow, and smack a target with it, remember the dmg. then begin auto attacking. keep auto attacking until you kill a target (i go with the 100 armor target so you can maximize the number of your hits). you will notice that the highest dmg you do will match that of wild blow and never more. now pump up strength to say 10. wild blow the 100 armor target again and note that the dmg is higher then with 0 strength. now begin auto attacking. you will notice that you will never match the dmg done from your wild blow. infact, you will top out at the exact same max dmg you did at 0 strength.

we have had this discussion many times before, and savio is right here.

ok, first off excuse the double post, it wouldnt let me edit my last one. decided to post some screens, using crit eye and wild blow to prove the point once and for all.

the first: 12 sword, 0 strength, crit eye, wild blow.
the second: 12 sword, 0 strength, crit eye, normal attack.
the third: 12 sword, 10 strength, crit eye, wild blow.
the fourth: 12 sword, 10 strength, crit eye, normal attack.

[skill=icon]Primal Rage[/skill]
1. Primal Rage lasts 10 seconds.
2. If you are smart, you don't use Primal Rage.

Unless you have screenshots to back up what you say like ss1986v2 does, I will start deleting wrong posts. If you want to make up crap, do it on another forum, not here.

Well, savio, there IS a skill that can copy stances on an assassin. I don't think Primal Rage disables the assassins skills.

If it doesn't, GG warrior.

lol, i dont know if mirrored stance would trigger the skill disable or not (i would think anet would have thought about things like this).

that would be fun to see though if you could.

What's the deal with this thread? It seems to have had EVERY false but widely beleived point that I could think of made in it.

Sundering is bad, strength is only triggered on attack SKILLS, 16 strength is never better than 16 <weapon> mastery, req doesn't affect the damage of a weapon provided you meet the req, and Primal Rage disables all skills, whatever profession.

Lemme add another one!

Anything above 13 critical strikes is overkill unless you have left over points or need a break point for a CS skill. Weapon mastery gives more critical strikes than CS itself, so always go for highers CS, unless you need the skills.

I managed a minute yesterday to test the whole all attacks or just skills. Granted, there was little time, but I did find the following:

Targetting a targeting dummy, using a candy cane sword (min dmg = max dmg), with no points in strenght, I got a stream of results of 8 or 11 (I assume critical hits entered the equasion). I then added all my points into str, and the results remained 8 or 11.

While more time for further testing is needed, the strict "attack skills only" interpretation holds true.
