wait a minute...This may sound really stupid because i havent read the nightfall manual with any thought or care but the centuars might be connected with greek mytholgy. Its highly unlikley but we might be centuars(sorry if spelt wrong both times) that Are destroying minoutars and the murrsat(sorry if this is linking the impossible) And the humans come in to save the centuars and their homeland. From the Beasts.and who knows they might introduce the Ev!l GoD

Oooh I thought of this too. Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to go back in time and see Tyria during the Guild Wars. Only problem however, would be a) This would copy off of the format of outland in WoW probably and b) how would characters go to other continents that started in Tyria before the charr invasion

Anyway moving on i am not sure the Mursaat will return anymore. They had their story in Tyria and as far as we know the ones on Tyria were wiped out by the Titans as told in the Flameseeker Prophecies. The Charr i am not sure of - if the game is to be Utopia i am not sure where they would fit in with their aggressive nature. Perhaps we will get to see a new race dwelling on the unknown continent?.

What I think is happening, is that Dhuum and Menzies (both were featured in Nightfall, they helped abbadon but were never truly defeated) will try and finish what Abbadon started. This will probably happen in an area to the north of the shiverpeaks (many NPCs talk of trading with the northern continent, if you remember, both Cantha and Elona had NPCs talkinga bout them far before it was released to public) Also, the name dosent give any clues about it IMO, Factions only talks about the small quarrely between Kurz and Lux, Prophecies only about a couple missions, and Nightfall about a god taking over, all of theese plots are so 'random' that they cannot possibly be thought up by hearing simply the name
Guild Wars Guy
Factions Is Obvious its about err 2 Factions but not the main plot and also Prophecies, The Flame Seeker PROPHECIES!!!!. And Nightfall, When NIGHT FALLS,Light Must Prevail. IT TELLS YOU ON the box. Im sorry to tell you this like your a baby BUT YOUR BLIND!!!!!!!!!!!!... and Also . The Orrians Maybe They are Going to be in the new guildwars i mean Another Colony Might of Evacuated/Escaped to a new continent or They had a home Continent

2: 'Prophecies' I can agree with the Flameseeker prophecies, but that isn't really revealed until later on in the story.
3: 'Nightfall' You're defeating Abbadon, not the Darkness.
Guild Wars Guy
Abbadon is the Darkness though and also Nightfall Is Varish and Abbadon's Project

Factions not only represented the 100 year quarrel between the Kurzicks and Luxons, but it tells the story of why things were the way they were and who was responsible.
You just don't find out the plot linking Prophecies to Factions until late in Nightfall by taking the quests in the Realm Of Torment. Kind of like moving forward and then moving back again to see the bigger picture.
By the way, I don't think that the Heroes involvement with the Factions story was simply a path. I believe it was something more than that. Its too convenient to be a coincidence.

I think, that no matter what happens, Menzie and Dhuum will be there. They supported Abbadon and are probably both mad that he is dead
Lord-UWR
Well, it has been stated that it will take a bit of prophecies and expand upon it. Alex told us that. And also the person responsible for GW lore, who was hired for NF lore, is writting the lore of CH4, so...

I was thinking that maybe since tyria and elona were connected, maybe the next chapter will be connected to Cantha? I mean you don't know the specific location of cantha do we? for all we know it may be north east or west of tyria?

Jatoro Musagi states that Cantha is southwest of Elona while Jiaju Tai in Lions Arch says it is south of Tyria which gives us a good idea of where it is

Tuner89
I am hoping that the next continent is north of Tyria, You can wear skirts in the snow >_< (talking about paragons)
gilgameshx
I think it might be north of Cantha, east of Elona. Northern areas might not be north of Tyria.

I dont think that anything could stop an assult like that, so the heroes going to Cantha and killing him would pretty much have alot to do with the storyline. But of course, that is just my personal way to look at things.

i think it might be to do with maguuma jungle (like another whole part of it). it would be cool if u got a character that can shoot darts from a shaft of bamboo or throwing axes or even blades on there knuckles

But throwing axes is something that could also been seen as being done due to the throwing of a spear (that magically reappears in your hand ever time...)

Either you go east or south of cantha, east or south of Elona, or North, East, or West of Tyria... or you can put it in a completely reandom location that no 1 knows about

In the nf manual of page 49. This is the statement, "Between the northwest coast of Cantha and the southern rim of Elona a deadly sea is troubled by sudden storms and cyclones, hidden reefs, and dangerous sea creatures."
This is what made be believe that Cantha is actually southeast of Elona. Or possibly south of Elona.

I believe on another forum there is a pretty nice picture compilation of how tihs all works out, the link is... http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10112151

Ok !
I love this discussion but id like to clear something up.
There is a very strong bond between the new professions and the new continent.
Cantha: Assasin, Ritualist have a sort of far eastern feeling while Paragon and Dervish are pretty much egyptian/syrian.
So in my opinion this slays the Underwater settings...
Im not buying C4 if im going to be a fish...
The idea of a far north, tundra setting seems appealing, but i cant think of what professions wed have up there.
Also note that we dont really know if Arena Net wont totally kill the current Guild Wars style. Maybe the new game wont be connected to the other three, who knows ?
Although Guild Wars is great and fun, the majority of Guild Wars players WILL get bored of it sooner or later. Maybe Anet will have to polish up the game style. Add more mmorpg elements.
I dont know... you guys try to think of new professions.
I have an odd feeling this new chapter has been baking from the beginning of 2006.
I think its gonna revolutionize the guild wars franchise and pull out a totally new game. And Races, imo, will definitely be included.
Oh also think about what new weapons could be made. And making caster professions is cheap because then they can use wands, foci and staff.

Also, I had an idea a while ago that if they release a continent north of Tyria, they could make dwarves a playable race, alternatively, if they make the new continent east of Elona or Tyria, they could make a centaur as a new race (which would be pretty dumb, imo, I am getting sick of centaurs)
Eitherw way, I agree with you that players will start getting bored, My friend and I have been playing this game since last xmas, and we are running out of things to do, and slowly loosing interest, hopefully anet will do SOMETHING to recall our attention because this is a great game.

Not quite the lore, but this surely has to do with CH4.
Just my thoughts: vabbi clearly is a nation that relies on trading. Looking at the most obvious map there is no real civelisation around there. They could be trading with Kourna, but concidering the wealth in Kourna (not much) that wouldn't make vabbians rich.
Maybe the next continent of Guild Wars is the continent wich Vabbi is trading with.

Mr. Mystica
I know take a look at all the armor...gosh look at the gems in those things...
But on to more serious matters, Classes if ch4 is in the tundra, then maybe a herdsman or a viking,
if its on a coast, like on the destroyed orr maybe a raider?
what ever... I just want some new info

Certain sources indicate that there will be a lot lumberjacks in the upcoming chapter. They're okay.

Aba
I would love if the new GW came out with races........being a charr would really be hilarious,........even gaille had said in a chat that she also loved the idea of being a tengu....or charr. As for proffesions Alchemy would be very cool in my opinion....or something that deals with shape shifting.

What playable races are there in Guild Wars? In the first chapter you play characters from the human race. In subsequent chapters of Guild Wars, you may be able to play members of other races. |
