Margonite chests - unlucky or how it is?

Am I imagining it, or are the drops from Margonite chests considerably worse than drops from i.e. Vabbi chests? I've been opening a number of the former recently (about 20) and found maybe 3 or 4 gold items, whereas it seems the drops from Vabbi chests are more evenly divided between purple and gold.

I know it's not much of a statistic to go on, but I just thought I'd ask if others have had the same experience before I go out and waste more money on Margonite keys, seeing that they are after all more expensive than the Vabbi keys.

It's completely, totally random. Always.

Same... Desolation and RoT chests drop purple in 19/20 tries kinda. I only get a constant rate of golds doing DoA chests.

Well some people believed that only some items dropped in margonite chests ie elemental and dead swords, but both swords have been comfirmed to drop from ancient elonian chests.

skull/tribal spears ... and don't mention purple blazing wing wands .... yes these chests have not been kind to me either.

i concur with your findings, but ... the time that you don't open that marjonite chest, is it the chest that has that special item!.

Hehe, drops of any chest aren't good for me last week.
Almost got my rank 3 treasure hunter, but as the drops keep getting worse and worse,
I might actually quit chest running if the drops keep getting worse.
