What do you do?

Well, So far GWs is kinda pointless game after you finish the chapter.
I bought the 3 chapters finished them all. now i can't play the game..
It's totaly pointless
why should i play? why shoukd i make money? so i buy the 15k armor and whenever i am in outpost people say wow? or to buy some flashy sword that dose the same as a long sword i get for free from quests or drops?!
I don't know about you guys but imo gws is boring game once you finished it..
I played runescape and silkroad.
There you make money to get better armor as in better armor not more hot or flashy armor. you make money to buy better weapon with better stats and dose more damage.
Even the PVP idea is pointless and boring as hell!! why do you attack another player? just to get a word written under you name? in RS or SRO i killed players for their money.. it's much more fun!! there's a risk!! here no risk at all. you die eh well whatever nothing to lose! but in sro and rs you die you lose your money and/or some of your items equiped.

I don't know now should i wait for the new chapter and buy it or not. but i am not going to waste another 50$ for just 5 days game..

GWs is a single player game with people walking around!!!
it's not multi player game if you look into the game deeper..
even GvG you get nothing at all.. just ranks.

I just want to know how do people waste so much time on this game? how do you play it? I can't even stay online more than 10 mins now because i got nothing to do at all!!

Guild Wars has little in common with SR or RS.

Here, In Guild Wars, we have a game which is based on skill *player's ability*, and the intelligence the community puts together to futher the boundries with charcters.

In Runescape and Silkroad, your money wins you the game, not your intelligence or teamwork.

Runescape;
Has no options. Warrior/Mage/Ranger, wow.
Has no skills, all youve got is magic.
Zero Intelligence Factor.
No Story.

As you can see those two points have put Runescape faaar back from Guild Wars, however, this is simply because its a different style of game.

Silkroad;
Is more advanced than Runescape.
Has some skills, not as many as Guild Wars.
Zero Intelligence Factor.
No Story.
No options, Warrior/Trader/Thief.

There is nothing that, in my opinion, makes either of these games colourful in any way.

All this put together, your playing a game which you don't like because your in the wrong MMO Genre.

If i were you i'd play basic MMORPGs, it seems to me that they are what you like.

Why do you play any game?

Me? I play for fun. But hey, "fun" is subjective, and it looks like it's fun for you to "make money to buy better weapon with better stats and dose more damage", whereas that would bore the heck outta me. To me, it's fun to try out new skills, create and try different builds, challenge myself in all the many ways in PvE and PvP (no, not for titles - rewards are pointless), and in my spare time, pretty up my character so I can look at it and go "ooh, that's cool".

To each their own, and it appears that GW is not the game for you. Have you tried WoW? I hear there's lots of grinding for the bigger, better weapon and armor.

To have fun? Have we lost sight of why we play video games? It's not about the Sword of a Thousand Truths and the epic armor it's about kicking back and having fun with your friends.

Why do people still play Counterstike.

Well i am not having fun the game is boring..

You might not have noticed, but all Videogames, Books etc come to an end. Then you either stop playing or replay (reread) them.

You don't see people saying "OMG I wasted so much time on Halo/Mario/Sonic/Castlevania because now I've completed it and got nothing to do"

Again, GW doesn't seem like the game for you. I've racked up 1300+ hours, and still find it fun, GW is the game for me. You simply made a thread to say "I'm bored!". As Shuuda says, this thread fails.

I don't think what we are saying matters to Deadly. He walked in hoping to change GW to an everquest type gameworld. Deadly, GW is not that type of game.

PvP isn't about prizes and money. Just a good battle is prize enough for most people.

Trying to find some fun in the game but meh i think it's wrong to post here.

I am more into games like Silkroad, it's just the shitty service that Joymax give us made me quit.
I used to love going out with friends and smashing traders, Job wars and leveling there has meaning for me to be stronger.

Don't mind Deadly Eyez, he escaped from hospital.

intill you have done the following you have yet beat the ganme ok so what you beat each end boss.. but have you done all this ?

1:beat every side quest?-With every character you have

2:cap every elite and have every skill unlocked for each character?

3:beat both elite missions and doa 4 quest ?

4: created every single profession and did all the above with em ?

5: captured or gained all the greens and gold weaps for your characters and hero's for each ?

If you have yet to do so and its highly doubtfull that you have then you have yet to beat the entire game .. so better rnu along and get to it becuase you have alot of work ahead of you ..

And while your at it put your miond to work and go play some pvp ...

Guild Wars is not a game intended to be played nonstop until its next chapter is out. Anet designed it so you can stop playing at anytime.

People still play for many things. Guilds,Titles,PvP,Weapons,Armor,Quests and new characters. The list gos on.

This game obviously aint for you.

There is no discussion here - except 'Why isn't GW like other games'. The answer is because GW is not like other games.
