Am I the only one that wants to go back to beautiful pre-searing ascalon with my old characters?
It would just be pre-searing ascalon for asthetics purposes. None of the quests and all that.
Like lets say glint gives you a portal to visit the past or something. It would be nice to go back there and just visit like a vacation area. =) Obviously it would be seperate from the real pre-searing so you couldn't pull any thing to give newbie characters high level weapons.
a pre-searing for ascended chars?

something tells me that Ch4 would probably be dealing with Charr or Mursaat. Maby the reward for the end of the game would be "rebuilding" of ascalon?
(lol like in the lion king where they rebuild the land to be all nice and green after it was destroyed)

I'd love for a return to presearing or one that uses the exact same art set.
Maria, I once suggested there be an ingame event where people can do quests and gather materials and once enough quests/mats had been gathered, post-searing Ascalon would start going through slow rebuilding (newer PCs would still have to do some quests to see the changes). So if that's what chapter 4 is about, I'd be happy.
EDIT: getting to revisit some of the places that the char ruined or we never got to see before searing, like serenity temple would be a huge plus.

I would love to see Pre-Searing again, and all those ruins restored to their former glory...
Steps Ascending
Not that I like to say no to such things but.... I see 2 problems with that,
1- you just have to start a prophecy char to see it again (i keep a pre-sear char just for that, it changes periodicaly when the level is high enough/i'm tired of it/or just have enough "valuable loot" that it's worth to transfert to post)
2- more than half the fun of pre is that you find a lot of new player, every1 has basically the same look(the armor being limeted), the skills are limited too and, most of all, it'S the only place where you are sure not to get lv20s every where in town.
so.... /unsigned

Lmao Roflus
Now there's a thought... The ability to travel back in time, purely for visiting pre ascalon.. Completely pointless. All you need to do is make a new character and you can go there.

First, I don't believe that the OP isn't talking about wandering around in pre-searing with its tutorial limitation; rather, to have a zone or set of zones in the main game with an original/rebuilt Ascalon. Thus, you can take any of your characters there.
Now, as has been stated before, the first issue with that is timeline. In order to have this area, you'd have to have it rebuilt. Winterclaw mentioned Chapter 4 as a possible tie-in, and I've heard that elsewhere. I think that would be marvelous, and a way to give a third option - that your characters assist in rebuilding Ascalon, to have it look pastoral again, but with a new, different look (since it's rebuilt).

/signed plsu it would be sick to do quests with whatever your profession started. like for me it would be warmaster grast & duke barradin.
